Nice to meet ya! You should have let your hubby chat with us a bit. We could have told him he needn't worry about Sherry.... she's not Evil.

Well, now I really I feel like I'm officially a member of CF. Sherry was absolutely welcoming and delightful. We had a great visit (couple of hours) learned a lot about each other and even found that we know some of the same people from the area.

Sherry brought me such wonderful gifts (a garlic roaster, some beets that she canned and some really special salsa that Annie makes. Me however, being a newbie, brought only my husband. Next time, however I will bring her my hubby's fresh garlic and about 15 zucchini. LOL!!!! Ha

Sherry, I had a wonderful time! I can't thank you enough for the wonderful gifts and your great company. I'm looking forward to meeting other CFers.

Sherry, remember Ashley was afraid the entire forum membership was some kind of cult or else ax-murderers, they finally became my "imaginary friends", LOL. She was worried when Jessica and her two boys came to stay with us.

Well, that was probably justified, Jessica IS dangerous, but the boys weren't, LOL.

Karen, it's nice to "meet" you, now you've passed muster with Sherry, we'll have to invite you to the Michigan get-togethers!

Wow, just one week after her "introduction thread" and Lakemayor already had a CF meeting. All this time and I've only had a small handful of fallen-through attempts. I'm jealous!

The first tiem I went to a get-together of CFers I'm thinking -- okay, I am doing exactly what we tell our kids not to do -- meet up with someone you met on the internet. Even worse, we shared food we had made. Funny.

Dedtired, I know what you mean, the first time I met RiverRat years ago, we shared a hotel room. My DD thinks I'm a nut anyway so I didn't make matters worse by telling I was spending the weekend with an internet recipe swapper. She has met Sheshebop and Peppi and even allowed her children to be in the company of internet friends! So I guess she now has a comfort level when I say I'm going to meet cooking friends.

I have telling Canny Camp stories at our food pres. classes. They think I'm weird :)

Cathy, if you recall I picked you up at the airport in Chicago, sight unseen and drove the 2+ hours to SherryÂs several years ago. We spent a long weekend at her house and had never met her either.

Lordy I just passed thru Schoolcraft on my way up north a couple of weeks ago! I would have loved to have stopped but my MI trip was a lightening speed one! I hope to come back for a longer stay after Aug. 17.

You guys look FABULOUS! Color coordinated even! Always so nice to see and meet CF friends for real and hear about meetings. I can't wait until my next one, that's for sure!

Yeah Peppi, I thought of that. We even spotted each other without any predetermined identifiers as I stood on the pick-up island at a busy O'Hare. Then chatted like long-time friends as we drove to Sherry's. Must be that CF magical charm.

I've been lucky enough to meet up with many here over the years. My friends thought I was crazy back in the day too. Canny Camp, Martini Mayhem, and the PFPP.....great memories and great pics....some not shared here on the forum. LOL!
