Panzer1, I am plumbed to put in the independently connected HighRise side spray in my bathroom along side my wall mounted sink faucet. I have a need for some utility function in my bathroom and this side spray is ideal. I tried one out last year when I was in a large city plumbing supply store. I liked it. I thought the polished stainless steel looked like a great match with chrome. It is angled so that when it is resting in place it will spray into the sink without having to pull it out. It is independent of the main faucet and has its own on and off lever on the bottom. It is really its own little faucet. I think it is overall about 7" and needs around 4.5" width included the handle. You may know that though. If the size is right for your prep sink then I think it would be a nice faucet. In my room I will be having a 18" x 36" sink and counter area. With the 2 faucets the vanity may appear overwhelmed with faucets but I need function more than esthetics of faucet arrangements. Tall people like a higher sink (when it comes to bathroom vanities). Short people like a closer faucet! Remind your husband that a faucet is a cheap experiment--and a DIY one if so inclined. I think I came to this site (one of its earlier incarnations) 50 years ago because of the faucet problem. Too much counter in front of the (kitchen) sink led to back pain. And I was young then! A crazy double-jointed faucet fixed it. It was a cool faucet. :) Ensuing kitchen remodels had us more careful with sink placement--the current kitchen sink cabinets even had the door hinges lowered because the sink would hit them due to its forward position. Spout length is still important, but there are more faucet options if you're starting from a good place.

We had the utility sink with legs shown above. Hated it. When we installed a new stacked washer & dryer set recently, we trashed the old utility sink with its wobbly legs, and made a custom base to fit the space. DH built the frame base, cobbled together some cherry butcher block scraps from the kitchen project for a top, and we dropped in a nice big Franke sink. Then I added cute curtains. Big improvement! I googled and found the cast iron wall mount (first photo above). It would have been perfect! But DH really wanted to build a base :)

So change of plans... Since that is a 2 hole sink - nothing with a base plate will work - they require 3 holes. You will need a faucet that is a single hole mount ( it must fit the opening of the sink ) You will have to off set the faucet and get a cap for the other hole The faucet you have might squeeze through the hole - you will have to check . You can also look into bar sink faucets - sometimes they have a smaller mounting requirement. This seems like the only option at this point. There are some brilliant people on here, maybe they have another idea other than returning the sink and getting the single hole version. Good luck
