Wow, that is stunning! I love the shine on the tile, it glows like polished marble or stone. Very, very pretty. I noticed you have a magnifying mirror that extends out from the wall. I want one of those but always wonder about how to place it for the best use. Where does the light come from in this room, is it a ceiling fixture? Is it good at helping highlight stray hairs at the browline? Thanks in advance! -EChic

I agree with Lotteryticket about a mirror not much wider than the sink. I'd aim for one where the glass is just the width of the sink or narrower. I'm not certain where/what mirrors you have in mind, but I see RH has mirrors that are 18" wide. I suspect that would look fine above a 16.5" pedestal sink. I'm not a big fan of having a mirror that spans above a toilet.

I am reading this thread for current preferences.Not trying to jack it but the mirrors are what I am thinking of removing! I am planning a master bath remodel. I currently have a recessed 76 inch vanity with a full wall mirror behind the vanity and 1 the deepth of the vanity on each side. So basicaly the first pic with Mirrors on the sides as well, vanity to ceiling. I thought this was a very dated look.?? The lighting is pot lights above the vanity. I was going to take down the mirrors and replace with either one large mirror with center mounted sconce behind vanity and matching sconces on each side retaining pot lights above. Or replace mirrors with 2 smaller mirrors, 1 behind each sink with a sconce in the middle and on each side. The mirrors would not be vanity to ceiling, just normal size with either tile or wood trim on the wall to surround. If people still like that huge mirror look I could leave the vanity and mirrors and just change out the vanity top, remove 4x4 grouted tile top! Thoughts?

Thank you. Unfortunately, the vanity will stay. I do appreciate the suggestions. The advice has been most helpful. My husband designed the vanity with our contractor. We aren't able to do drawers on the right side. This vanity sits flush to the wall. Our daughter will open the drawers on the right on the current vanity when the door is closed when she wants to hide out and we can't open the door. Nothing is shaker. I realized my photo isn't the best idea for the cabinet style. I've been to 5 different tile showrooms, brought home dozens of floor tile and my husband won't budge from his favorite choice. It's not quite as dark as in the picture. I think it will be okay. I really wanted a mosaic. This is more the style of our vanity but with 4 drawers on the left, middle section with a drawer (I was out voted on doing away with the drawer below the middle cabinet) and a single cabinet door on the right. I have measured all the items that we store. I double checked because Mayflower is right about making sure things fit.
