Glad it's over. I had several skin tags removed from my neck over the summer. They nearly drove me crazy, they itched and annoyed me. Went to a dermatologist who burned them off. Didn't hurt much and I love my new smooth neck.

Just watch them all, good luck! We were at a doctor friend's one night, I told him I had to go see a dermo to get a few tafs removed, he called me into the kitchen, said let me look and whacked them off! It only hurt for a second or two but I was shocked! LOL!! All healed in a few days, I have two more guess I should invite them to dinner this time!

My remedy to get rid of plantar worts is
put a dab of tea tree oil on it, then cover
it with a piece of duct tape. Leave it there
for a week. If it hasn't gone, repeat.
I did this to mine and they never came back.

They gave DD a rx cream to take them off her foot. I need to go and have a small pimplish thing removed from my nose.

So far so good. I have a small red circle around the wart where the freeze on stuff went over but it isn't as red as the first day.

Dolly, I had a PW on my foot for many years. I've been rubbing Vicks on my feet for some months to alleviate the terrible burning and itching I get at night and realized just a few days ago that the wart was completely gone. (Oh, it works for the burning, too!)

I had some removed too... no problem. Until I got the paper work and realized that my insurance didn't pay anything on this 'cosmetic' 'surgery'.

Ouch, Jel48, now that REALLY hurt!

Had 6 skin tags on my neck which were driving me nuts. Sweater season started out miserabley. Went to Walgreens, got the liquid compound w and within a week they fell off. Nice neck again and collars don't bug me.

I have a very small wart on the inside of my left ring finger, at the first joint. Doesn't really bother me. But I have one on my left leg near the shin bone. It is flat and about the size of a dime. Doesn't bother me except in the summer when I'm wearing shorts. Looks gross, even though it is skin colored and rather smooth.

I asked the dermo doc about it and he said: "leave it alone, it is just a wart!" But I want it gone.

I read in the newspaper recently, the Doc who replaced Dr. Gott wrote about warts.

His advice was to use duct tape, the silver, not the clear. Cover the wart with DT. Leave it 6 days. Remove it and soak and file the wart. Leave it uncovered overnight, then cover with DT in the morning. Repeat for 6 days. Do this for 6 months or until the wart is gone.

Not very practical for most people. I might try it. If it works it should be gone by summer.

Samkaren, what did the doctor use on the skin tags to remove them?

Two.25acres...liquid compound w, huh? Hadn't heard of of using that. Worked that quickly? How often did you apply it? I have to go get me a gallon or two.

I have dozens and dozens of skin tags. Most don't bother me, but the line of them under each breast are constantly irritated by my bras. I have cut a few tags off in other places with very sharp cuticle scissors myself, but in that area, I cannot afford the resulting soreness that would require going braless for any length of time. I am afraid I would trip and fall. (lazypup, try to keep your thoughts to yourself..you too ol' joyful)

I initially used the bandage remover on one under my arm, that seemed to take forever. The liquid worked great, they were all gone within a week. Started hurting a little towards the end but quickly fell off after that. Caution though, do read the directions and soak the area first otherwise you will burn the area and that was unpleasant. I did it one time a day.

jel48 - I also had several "moles" - called skin tags by the doctor - removed from my neck. They came on suddenly and grew alarmingly fast - and one on my nose. Neither our Ontario provincial health care nor my husband's office plan would pay anything towards their removal because they turned out to be non-cancerous. It would have cost the same amount of money to have one removed - and of course the one returning is the one on my nose - wonderful. Another $185.00. If they would leave the zapper out and leave the room I would just cauterize the thing myself - doctors and nurses do their own - and in Ontario GPs no longer do this type of thing - have to see a derm. Took me nearly 6 months to get an appointment - yet if I wanted to have fillers etc. I could have had an appointment the next day. I am very happy they were not cancerous - I am very pale skinned.

Skin tags aren't cancerous and they aren't "moles"... they are just annoying.

My regular doctor clips them off at every annual physical.

You can burn off warts yourself with apple cider vinegar. Just soak a little bit of cotton in the ACV and hold in place on the wart with a bandaid or medical tape. Leave on for multiple hours, overnight works best. It will sting. If it's particularly tough one you may need to repeat in a few days. The wart will turn white and die and disappear. It works great and no repeated doctors visits.

I used to get a lot of skin tags under my boobs!! Talk about uncomfortable,especially in the summer.Had them removed by my dr,also one on my neck that my collar rubbed.

Now i have no boobs(mastectomy) so no more problems there.I do have a wart,at least that's what i think it is on the top of my right hand.It doesn't cause me any problems,but it bugs me just being there.
