Do you watch Create TV?

I've recently discovered Create TV, a public television station. Lot of wonderful shows on food, arts & crafts, gardening, home improvement, and travel. If you're not familiar with it, you can check out their wide variety of shows (and your local schedule) at www.createtv.com.

Yesterday I watched Ming Tsai ("Simply Ming") make this recipe.

I watched Vicki Pane stained glass and Susan(?) Schewee(?) teaching watercolors today.

Yes, I watch it frequently. I work alone most days in my studio, and I prefer TV to music. Create TV is often my choice. I love both the sewing shows and the cooking shows, but I also love "This Old House".

We watch a lot of the History Channel as well as the Discovery Channel. I like PBS shows, love to catch a cooking show of Julia Childs...she is a hoot to watch. Sometimes I'm lucky enough to catch a quilting show on PBS, I can't seem to find out just when they are showing! Deb

I like "Morning Joe" too, wannaretire, except for the darned music they play in the background sometimes. I like Willie Geist who has a 1/2 hour program before MJ and then is on their show a lot. We get two newspapers so I get most of the news from them. In the evening we watch ABC for two reasons. I like Diane Sawyer and the main reason------Jeopardy comes on right after :-) We sleep to either HDTV, CNN or MSNBC. CNN because I hope AC360 will have James Carvell on. I'm totally in love with him!! Cynic, those "coming up next" teasers drive me crazy, too. If you notice, these days they call themselves journalists rather than reporters. I don't know if it's because it sounds fancier or because they're just reading a script that's put in front of them. They do get my appreciation when they're able to pronounce all those foreign names. Like Blagojevich. LOL!

DH and I had been shopping for a new entertainment center for the living room for several years. Then, two years ago we happened across a beautiful unit at a price we were more than happy to pay and incredible as it seemed, along with the unit came a 62" Mitsubishi LCD HD TV, Yamaha surround sound system with five speakers, a stereo receiver and DVD player. 62" is overkill in our small living room but we quickly got used to it and am now the main attraction with our neighbors and co-workers when it comes to watching NetFlix movies. How do I watch Canadian TV in the US?

They should work for Canadians who want to watch US TV. I haven't actually used a VPN for the purpose of watching TV that's only available in another country, but used one when I traveled to China to use sites like Google and Facebook that are blocked there.

I love Create! I've been watching for a couple years. Saturdays they often have all day marathons of one show. Did you see "Spain...On the Road Again" with Mario Batali, Gwyneth Paltrow, a beautiful Spanish actress whose name I have forgoon at the moment, and Mark Bittman? It was absolutely wonderful! I LOVE CREATE!!!

I've been watching it for a few years too. Since I don't have cable I can still get my fix of cooking and travel shows on this station.

Create TV sounds like a station I would like. Unfortunately, we have just one PBS station and the only time they show programs like that is Saturday afternoons.

I had not heard of it, just checked the website and it said Direct TV here does not have it in the central time zone. That is unfortunate I know I would like it and several of my husbands fave woodworking shows are now on there it seems.

Maybe we need to complain to direct tv!!

Kat, Susan However-She-Spells-Her-Last-Name was the first show I saw on Create. I was flipping channels, and stopped when I saw her painting with watercolors.

Yes. We like to watch instructional picture painting. The food shows are good, but there's too many of them.

When I think of it..I do check out that station and enjoy seeing the cooking shows and gardening shows too..

Yes! I love it but I'm not getting it in on my tv anymore (antenna). Sometimes I pick up the digital PBS stations and sometimes I don't. It's irritating.
