That is really, really gorgeous. My bath is the ubiquitous white beadboard with the "spa blue" above. This is a great version of the same...only with VERVE!

Can I ask what paint your trim is? I just painted my bathroom the VanCourtland Blue and the BM color specialist convinced me to paint the trim "super white". To me it looks too harsh with the blue in my room and am contemplating repainting the trim. Would love to hear what yours is because it seems softer.

klb, it's Lancaster White. I didn't choose it specifically to go with this blue, so there may be a better choice; it's what I have in the rest of the house, and I like to stick with the same trim and ceiling color throughout. It's a bit more creamy on the trim than I had envisioned, but I can live with it. I like really like it on the ceiling...always a nice warm glow.

I have bathroom envy--lol! A really beautiful blue, indeed. I was surprised to read that the trim is Lancaster White--I always thought it was more of an off-white, but it looks beautifully white in your bathroom. Love it. Good job, bungalow!

It's really lovely, Bungalow! Yes, please post it in the Gallery Bathroom thread. I looked and looked for baths with white beadboard and good color above, and came up empty handed. This is one of my absolute favorite decors for a bath. Great job! Are you going to hang some pretties on the walls?

Bungalow House, I love the BM Van Courtland Blue painted walls. I love the Lancaster White beadboard and trim so much. I like trim to not be too bright white when someone does a color that is not to light. With very light colors or off-white walls, I love bright white trim. The two colors are perfect together that you used.

I wish my bathrooms had windows in them to ear out the room and to give them more natural light.

What made you decide on Lancaster White rather than Lancaster Whitewash? I can't tell the difference in color for the two colors, But I love the choice that you made because those pictures show what a gorgeous bathroom you now have.

Love the color! Luscious! I have always liked it on the BM site, despite the fact that I am not much for blue, and have to say it is even prettier 'for real'.

I had James River Gray in one bathroom and then papered it but used very similar paper color to paint. James River Gray and VanCourtland Blue (I believe) are the same color.

When we bought this house, the plan was to gut the entire bathroom and re-do it, but we blew our wad on the kitchen and everywhere else, so this room only got necessities (plumbing and electrical) and a facelift. But it's a million miles better than it used to be. Imagine waking up to this every morning!....

Still gives me the heebie jeebies just thinking about it!

lynn, I did not see Lancaster Whitewash until much later. I compared the 2 chips and they looked the same to me too. I wondered if maybe they were just changing the name. The window is great but it can be challenging with respect to privacy!

oceanna, the room is still not put back together. We have to paint and re-install the closet shelves and I have to finish curtains and shades. There is not much wallspace, so I may be decorating strictly with towels! :)

squirrel, yes, that is a closet. The previous owner put up some bifold doors that actually blocked access to the closet while you are in the tub, so I took the doors down and replaced them with a curtain.

ooh - you are getting me excited. I will be posting pics tonight of my PATHETIC main floor bathroom that needs a facelift on a budget. Instead of tiling on teh walls I was thinking beadboard - and just change the floor tiles. I love blue but never make the jump from yellow/gold - you are going to inspire me!!

WOW! that is some transformation. Geeeez what were they thinking! I thought my bath was bad, previous owner had it painted neon yellow, when applying makeup I looked jaundice! You did a beautiful job and I have to say that is one of the prettiest blues I have ever seen, I may have to use myself! Im sure you will love it for years!

bungalow_house, That is the most amazing transformation that transformed that bathroom that is not to my taste into such a gorgeous bathroom. If my bathroom did not have bone sinks and tubs in them but had them in white, I would go with this color in one of my bathrooms with the lancaster white trim and doors since it is perfect!

Thanks for letting me know that you can't tell much of a difference either from the BM Lancaster White Paint chip and the BM Lancaster Whitewash paint chip. I Love both whites so much.
