Green paint color that goes with BM Van Cortland Blue?

Hi all,
This forum has helped me so much in the past. I'm hoping to get input once again.
My living room and upstairs in the hallways etc. is Van Cortland Blue by BM. I love it. I had to make a quick decision on the kitchen and I chose Edgecomb Gray. Is it ever boring but also lovely. I am looking to redo the kitchen with a something in the green family. I absolutely love BM's Hawthorne Green but it would not blend with the VC Blue in the LR.
Cabs are maple, Butterfly Green granite counters and a dark green floor. I would appreciate any suggestions. The kitchen really looks dreary at this point.

I know the law about all greens go together, but not all blues and greens go together, so the green you MUST have will be the green that looks best with the greens you have in place, the green of the countertops and the green of the floors. You must take that into consideration more than the Van Courtland blue, which should, if necessary, be the color you change because it does not have to match some permanent structural item such as flooring and countertops.

However, Kittery Point green is depicted with the samples of vC nlue.

Van Courtland Blue is one of my absolute FAVORITE blues. I've got it in two rooms and wish I'd put it in my bedroom instead of the SW Languid Blue, which is pretty nice but not quite as soft as the Van Courtland.

Van Courtland is a very gray, cool blue, so I would think you'd want a gray, cool green.

BM pairs it on their site with Kittery Green. Personally, in a kitchen, if there is limited wall area, I'd go with their match of Night Shade, a chocolate brown, It would really make your green granite and floor look great. and it is gorgeous with the Van Courtland Blue.

Nevermind the online visualizers. They're carp, IMO. Buxton Blue is pretty vivid, actually. If that is working for you, you may be less bright-color-averse than you think. Of course, every room is different and you are working with cream cabinets now. You don't want too much of a contrast between the walls and the cabs, just a soft neighborly look. :-) Don't go tan. Unless you really want to. It may seem like an easy way out of the color problem, but actually neutrals and their inherent undertones can often be harder to work with, harder to get right. Here are a couple quick suggestions of sample pots to look for. There are more of course....this is just a start. What white/light color goes well with BM Mexicana?

sloyd thanks for the suggestions but I don't think those will work for me - most are too dark for this space which is a long rectangle with windows only at the far end (townhouse). THe lighter ones have green undertones and while I like green it doesn't look good with the warm red and the browns in our scheme, I think. I guess I am looking for a white with warm udnertones or a cream that is not "buttery".

My daughter has Coventry and I love it but agree it has blue in it. I also like Revere Pewter but it does read beige grey. Other grey's that don't read beige and don't have blue in them are BM Sea Haze 2137-50 and gray owl on same strip 2137-60. I see some green undertones in them. Ozark shadows AC 26 has less beige than Revere Pewter with no blue. It's also about as deep as Coventry. Harbor gray, one lighter on strip AC 25 looks more true grey but lighter than Coventry. I know you said no purple undertone, but my neighbor used a beautiful grey called Valspar Smooth Pebble, which looks like a beautiful med. grey in her bedroom. I wouldn't have realized it had purple undertones until we tried to have it mixed by BM. They screwed it up and it showed alot of purple on the swatch we painted on the wall. However, even as badly mixed as it was, once it dried , it dried a nice grey. But we didn't give it a chance cause we freaked cause her bedroom was painted purple prior to the grey. So she went with coventry. also, Silver Fox BM2108-50 is a popular grey but I do see purple/tan undertones, much like the Valspar color. I would try Silver Fox, Valspar smooth pebble and Ozark Shadows. If you want lighter and tanner, then Revere Pewter.

robo - love the grey cashmere! I vote for Quiet Moments if you want a grey/blue/green color. It's a beautiful calming color. Here it is in our guest room: Palladian Blue is also a beautiful color and is similar to QM but it has less grey and more green. Here it is in my DD's room - the window photo shows the color best:

I love those two colors together, Patricia! They are both greyed hues that have about the same saturation level. And, apropos of the theory that we're influenced by color names, I have to admit in this case that I am, as I was born there and KP was my first home :-)

If Nancita wants a stronger contrast, in some light Calke Green (Farrow and Ball) looks like a stronger hue of Kittery Point and it would also be a nice foil for the blue. It all depends upon the amount and type of light in the room.

I painted my exterior VC blue and sampled silver sage for

my shutters. It is beautiful and does not compete with VC blue.
