Its going to be on the floor, so I would say "No" it is not going to significantly darken the kitchen compared to the other two. (If one of your choices were white, I would say yes, but generally the cabinet color and walls will play much more of a role than the floor).

Um...I like the darkness of the third one, though without a lot of light in the room, a lighter and/or more reflective floor might be useful, but I think the color of the first one (at least on my new monitor) looks better. I love the coppery-ness of third one, but I don't think it goes with all your other finishes that well. The second one is also pretty but too intense. The first one would be better if it were a little yellower, but it does what a floor is supposed to do. It's a supporting player, not the star. Plus, it's light.

They all look a little darker on my monitor than in real life.

I like #1 the best. its gives your kitchen a more cohesive look than the other 2.

Huh. Sorry - but I don't like any of them. The patterns of the tile and granite seem to be quite close in size and they almost look like they are fighting - too busy for me.
Can you repost some pics that are taken a little further back to show a better over all look. I don't mean to be contrary but just thought I'd state my opinion - for what it's worth.

What are the brands of those tiles? Shaw Midori, by chance? I ask because I have some bathroom tile that looks similar to the first one, and I could photograph it for you if it was.

what color do you want to bring out of the bianco antico? (grey tones or brown tones?) I really do not like the second tile from that photo. It looks like it competes for attention too much (like the last poster mentioned.) The third also looks, to me, like the color wouldn't match..... but I'm not sure what overall colors you have. I just remember the bianco antico I looked at would match brown tones better.

Last comment.... my floors are dark wood with white cabinets and black countertops. The floors did not darken the space or make it too dark. Since the cabinets are white, it still is a very bright space. The floors just contrasted that and maybe made them seem even brighter...

The brand is Designer's Image. I'll try to take better pictures tomorrow. It is hard right now because my oven is in the middle of my floor with my table haha. :)

Ok..... That first tile looks a lot like this tile: {{!gwi}} which is the Shaw Midori I mentioned...

I was going to get Bianco Antico for my bathroom counters.... one of the two reasons I ended up not doing it is because I held up the tile to the granite.... they clashed/competed too much. It looked bad to me and the designer. I am not sure if it would clash as much with a cabinet in between... just side by side was bad.

Thanks for posting the pics. Does your floor have a grey tone? The first tile in my series does have a grey tone. It is really very light. These are all such hard decisions :) I'm on a pretty small budget so need to use the vinyl tiles but am not sure which color to go with...

I would avoid brown tones in the floor (like your 2nd picture) - I don't think it goes with your granite at all. I would try a grey slate or porcelin or something. I think the 3rd picture of the 3 you posted looked the best.

I don't think it has a grey tone..... it is more beige-y.

RE: what craftlady said...... it depends on what tones are in your bianco antico. The slabs I've seen have lots of brown veining, so a brown tone would work. I don't think a grey would work with the slabs I've seen...... can't tell from your pictures, though :)
