While the presentation makes it sound like Home Depot has done a terrible miss service to its customers. There is not one word as to the interval between when the announcement was received by the local store and the date the Local store sold the item. Just because some bureaucrat in Washington announces at 8:15 am that a product is recalled, all sales at all local stores will not stop at 8:17 on the same day. Personally, I very rarely pay any attention to recalls. Each time I use the tool or item I evaluate its condition before use, and use it or don't use it based on my evaluation. When in use I am all ways of abnormal smells, sounds, etc. There were some jewels in the recalls. "The lopper handles can break when attempting to cut branches, posing a risk of serious injury and laceration." WELL DUH! "An unbalanced load can cause the washing machine to shake excessively and the drum to come loose during use, posing a risk of injury to consumers and property damage to the surrounding area." This has never happened, Sure! Common sense says excessive vibration of any machine is bad. I loved this safety hazzard "The small rugs fail to meet federal labeling requirements."

Thank you Oly. I do buy quite a bit there once or twice a month but rarely ready to eat things like prepped salads or sandwiches. Sometimes frozen entrees that require some oven time and I have bought their spatchcocked raw chickens but not in the last couple of trips. I look in that section, have been tempted a few times but DH is often with me and he likes Panera - I try to compromise. He isn't a fast food fan at all and Panera is about as close as will please him. I have bought chilled, simple, roast beef sliders at Northwest Fresh for something to eat as we are driving home. But I appreciate the heads up. I'm going next week but suspect anything questionable should be pulled from the shelves. I did not see a recall. He did and hadn't mentioned it.

Uh Oh. I have a package of eggos in my freezer purchased at Walmart, I'd better read the recall. They had none of the Belgian style that DH likes once in a while in stock that day so they are just the regular buttermilk waffles. I buy food at Walmart about two times a year! All I'd ever used was my grandmothers vintage waffle maker, I've never had a contemporary model. It was Silex before that company became Proctor Silex and made the best waffles. No oiling ever required and every single waffle released perfectly just by wiping it clean between uses. The heating element went out in one of the 4 quadrants finally and I had to quit using it. After about 40+ years and I don't know how long she had had it, we lost her in the '70s. 😊 (we aren't breakfast eaters but will very occasionally have them for dinner) Off to read the recall.....And, thank you for pointing it out, I hadn't seen it. ETA Oh, Whew. Mine are Eggos brand by Kellogg. But now I still don't trust them. Box is unopened, I may not keep it.
