ok, since everyone is on you over the box size, I made them a little larger for you. maybe double them and center them under the window. they do look better larger. I also gave you proper Craftsman style numbers. You could choose a diff location. as for the color of that first pic, I gave you some close options for that grayish green hue Choose one of the darker greens for some accent contrast, and maybe a warmer Autumn type color for the door. Or you could do this accent color on the porch like a chair , bench, or even a porch floor or ceiling color. don't forget some ceramic pots in the copper color or better yet, window boxes!

It is impossible to do this on line and you need actual samples to be sure what dried grout will look like. This is mock up of Mapei Alabaster. I would look at backs and sides of this tile and get close to that color.

If you're set on laminate, and it's purchased already(which it seems it is?)-I'd install it, and see how you feel about the kitchen then. I like the current cabinets' stain, I'd want to make sure before I paint. It's several more days, all in all. Will give better idea of colors too. I'd also love to see more of the layout (does the kitchen end where the fridge is?), and adjacent space-some kitchens lend themselves better to two tone look than others, and it'll be easier for us to see a bigger picture involved. Bigger picture-more sound advice. In my experience. Always check future cabinet doors' colors vertical to the flooring, not on top of it..the light will hit it differently when they'll be installed, changing the color. If decided to move away into gray/blue/white scheme..I'd go for deeper blue. Theoretically. I think white might be too stark, and will be harder to match with white appliances. I know there is a question whether won't seem too dark-well it depends on how much light your kitchen gets. Or how much light can be added, if it doesn't get enough. Stainless steel appliances would work nice-but knowing how everything is made nowadays, I'm also "it stays if it works" kind of a person, when comes to appliances. even if not my preferred color. Again, personally would hold off painting for now, would appreciate seeing more pics. And..I don't know whether my opinion matters, and for sure you didn't ask for it..but your kitchen is not hideous. It might not be someting you prefer, or choose youself, which I fully get..still, not hideous.

Great question. I have to decide on the roof color within a week, which is why I'm in a mild panic about paint colors. It's like...which comes first, the roof or the paint? Luckily, I get to select both so I'm totally open. I've thought about a black roof, but I think I need to stay a little more neutral and go with a pewter gray.
