We are still basking in the glow of Will's performance last night (conversations) and I'm making pizza at his request. No other real plans this weekend! sounds good to me

Stacy, I'll head on over to conversations to read about last night. Will is such a cutie!

No big weekend plans here. Heading out in the morning tomorrow to look at appliances, flooring and quartz. Need a little touchy feely. There was a cabinet guy here today.He'll have something for me in about a week. I also have a couple more to call.

Hug that handsome son for me and tell him congrats!

We are off to Tyler Tasting - the annual fundraiser for Tyler Hall, the Admissions Office, etc for our community college.

Tomorrow morning I am going to a national begonia convention garden tour and sale. I am not a begonia person but one of my hosta buds invited me, so what the heck. Then tomorrow night we are going to a friends 40th b-day and will be doing a LOT of partying.

Sunday I am thinking of going to a dog show - but we'll see how much energy is left.

Congratulations! My neighbor just had a new baby Wednesday and my niece is expecting in June - babies are a poppin! This will be the first "great" grandchild on my side of the family - there are 5 on hubby's side already. My mom is the only grandparent left and she's very excited about being a great grandmother. My neice and my two kids are the only grandchildren on my side of the family as well, so this is a treat. My kids aren't even close to settling down so this will be the only baby for a while!! Spring is a wonderful time to have a baby as well! Enjoy her! I'm going to try to get a little done in the yard tomorrow if the weather cooperates. It's still too cold to get anything done besides cleaning up leaves and stuff, but that has to be done as well. I'm making a huge new veggie bed this year so I have to get going and get as much done as I can, when I can! I might have bitten off more than I can chew with all the seeds I have going, but I guess I'll soon find out! My girlfriend is coming over tomorrow night to fix some jewelry - I have lots of bits and bobs for jewelry making. I want to make some bread in the morning, get some done in the yard, then get back in the house to make dinner for when she comes over. I made some home made mushroom ravioli at Christmastime and I've yet to actually have any. That's what I plan on having for dinner. It's going to pour out Sunday, so I'll probably work on the scrapbook my SIL asked me to do up for my niece's baby shower. I've never worked on one before, but it's coming out nice considering I'm just fumbling my way thru! It's amazing the stuff they have for that now - I ended up buying a couple books and plan on re-doing the books I made for my own kids who are now 21 and 19! I just had photo albums stuffed with all their baby stuff. They have so many cute things now, even tho they're adults I still want to re-do them just to have for myself! Lisa

Doucanoe, new job sounds fun. It is good to change things up every now and then. Bessiedawg, good luck with the plumbers. Wizard, sounds like a nice weekend. Maybe the snow will start to melt? Annie and Stacey, LOL! Shaun, You have a great group. Now I can just see you in the bouncy house tomorrow with a Margarita. Ole! Ann, We didn't have one pretty snow storm this year. Looks beautiful. Compumom, Hope you raise lots. Good luck with the car shopping - bessie, too! Bunnyman, Hope your get some r and r soon. Stacy, Did you watch the apprentice last night? I didn't follow this season but caught a bit last night! LOL! We are taking the train to the city tomorrow to see the circus. We could have seen it on LI but the train is half the fun for the boy. We have been sick here again this week. This was bad. I really felt like I was just hanging on by a thread taking care of the kids. I feel much better today but Andrew has that croupy cough again. Grace is 6 mos and just got weighed yesterday at the doc - she is 17 pounds. Oink! LOL:) She cracks me up. Be good, all (in a Jesse sort of way)

Have a 3 lb. chuck roast in the Dutch oven with a beer & an onion. Will eventually be shredded beef for sandwiches, enchiladas, & burritos. Tonight, we're going to make Pioneer Woman's cinnamon roll dough for baking tomorrow or Sunday hoping to get a jump on some Easter gifts for friends. Thank goodness for freezers. DH got some spring clean-up done this week. Good thing 'cause it's supposed to be a wash out of a weekend. Since December, seems like every week there's a coastal storm. Chance of moderate coastal flooding for 3 tide cycles so we'll be keeping our eyes on the Sound. Went to the NY neuro doctor this week. I asked blunt questions & got blunt answers. I guess that's good but I'm bummed anyway. I had to take my handicapped parking application for his signature. My last two have been four year terms. That's what I was expecting this week so I was major bummed when I looked at the form & he'd checked the "Lifetime" box. (sigh) I'm cleared to do anything that doesn't cause pain with some limits like not lifting more than 2-3 lbs. or putting both arms over my head at once. He said I'm going to have to accept that there's too much nerve damage & the neuropathy isn't going away. It interacts with the lupus. It's permanent & long-term will worsen. I asked about the steroids & he said that after watching the progress for 6 months & considering the benefits versus risk potential he sees me as a candidate for lifelong steroid useage. Again, major bummer. The steroids combined with the pain meds have brought the pain down to mostly manageable levels. So, we'll just wing it as to when to taper off & when to restart based on how I'm feeling. I have a lot of adapting to wrap my mind around. I guess I really thought I'd get better. Hoping, anyway. Now it's time to face reality, knuckle down, & relearn how to live my life. I am so grateful DH is here. In the back of my mind, I'm still believing that if I can just keep working on re-conditioning my muscles will compensate for the spinal damage & I'll be able to live a mostly normal life. I cannot tell you how much I hate having to be pushed in a transporter chair. I can't even use a wheelchair because the arm movements are just h@ll on my spine (most of my damage is in the thoracic area (between the shoulder blades). I'm ambulatory at home but can't walk around a store or even into/out of the doctor's office. TGIF everybody. I'm glad this week is over. I'm ready to start a new one. This one was bad. /tricia

Diane, I agree with Nancy, no one is going to take over until they have to. Now's the time to teach some of those high school kids the ropes, so they can do it when the time comes. Nancy, have fun at the festival. There are all kinds of them this time of year, what fun. Alexa, when it's this hot, the pool is the best place to be. Your kids will be cooler than you will be watching them! Linda, I'm thinking quiet weekend for yu... Here I've got pickles to deal with tonight, and the garden tomorrow. Stepmom just got back home from her stay in the nursing home and I'm going to have to sit down with her and explain that she has more bills than money and that all her credit cards are cancelled because they haven't been paid by anyone while she was in the hospital until I became conservator. She's a shopping addict, which is why she has all those bills, and her sudden withdrawal is going to be ugly. Good thing my sister lives with her, she can listen to her instead of me! Wish me luck, I'll be wishing I was running the rototiller before I'm done, I'm afraid. I took Monday off so it is a long weekend. Amanda and Dave are camping at Silver Lake with the kids and Elery and I are taking the Jeep over there on Monday. There are Lake Michigan sand dunes that allow motorized vehicles, so Dave wants to do some "sand running". I think I'll just stay and play on the beach with the kids... Clink with my cup of tea. I am on the home stretch of an 11 hour day.....less than an hour to go! Whew!

I'll be joining Nancy ove on Conversations in a few to read up on Will's performance. I am sure he was wonderful!

Nancy, I can't wait to see pics of the remodel. I love picking out that kind of stuff!

Party on, Alexa! You weekend sounds like a lot of fun!

Tim works all weekend,so I think I may do some shpping. None of my summer clothes fit me (not a good thing...)! Other than that no big plans.

Will be clinking in 60 minutes! LOL

TGIF indeed. Just thought I would pop in and say hello. Yes, I am still around just keeping extremely busy.

I made 500 mini cupcakes today. Some are for a neighborhood party tomorrow night and the others are for an open house at our old house on Sunday. Saturday morning I need to go over to the old house and trim some of the bushes up and then we are going to a kite flying event in the afternoon. Hopefully by Sunday evening I can sit back and relax. I need to get my poor foot up for a while. I broke two of my toes earlier this week. Big Ouch!

Well, your date is wrong, but the sentiment is appreciated. It is 6/4/2010 ......but who's counting!?

Just gearing up the the busy summer season here. I have 8 dogs here for the weekend. All great well behaved doggies so not much stress.

I can't remember a year where the garden has had such a great start. Tomatoes, cukes, peppers, beans, peas, carrots, etc are all growing like crazy. I already have peppers and tomatoes on the vine.....crazy early...but can't wait for fresh garden produce.

Not much else happening in my neck of the woods.

I bought a new car mid-april....a 2010 Dodge Challenger R/T in Hemi-Orange paint. With a few mods I'm doing over 400hp! My 2nd or 3rd mid-life crisis....I've lost track. But enjoying the car and looking for a winter ride. Debating on the new 2011 Ford Fiesta or a used Subaru with 4wd. The calendar hasn't even hit summer yet so I'm not in a hurry for yet another car payment, but still on the lookout for a deal.

duane, I misread your post for a minute and thought you said 400 MPH. LOL Enjoy your ride, I liked the older Mopars too, always wanted a Charger in Plum Crazy paint.

This weekend? I still need to plant carrots, turnips and collards, the wedding took precedence over the gardening so my stuff has only been in the ground for about a week. I uncovered the pool but it needs the first shot of chemicals and I need to get the pump up and running and clean off the cover and get that stored. Ashley's birthday is Sunday, she'll be 22. The ex is having a birthday dinner at his house on Monday and I couldn't weasel out of it, so I'll be baking the cake. I should go visit stepmom in the hospital sometime this weekend and I have a couple of fence posts that need replacing. Funny, they're all about 30 years old, they are all going over at once I guess.

I made those Portuguese beans that Ann T posted and Elery loved them but they were a bit too spicy for my taste and now my stomach is unsettled, so I'll clink with my gingerale.
