What's for dinner 1/17/11?

I felt better today than I have for a long time. I think this nasty head cold is finally leaving. It's about time!! Got lots done around the house today and have a Swiss steak in the oven. We'll have mashed potatoes, gravy and green beans with it. Coconut cake (Pepperidge Farm) and ice cream for dessert if we want it after all that.

DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT go to Golden Corral on a holiday.

Two tour buses already there, and as I was leaving two more had unloaded and were standing out the door in line waiting to pay.

Baked tilapia, broccoli, baked potato, salad and fresh strawberries for us.

Just MHO, but fixing a 7 year old tv of any brand would not be first on my list of things to do. You've already got your moneys worth out of it and even if you do get it fixed, you'll still have a 7 year old tv ready to break down for another reason. I don't know what your needs are, but you can surely find a decent 32" LCD for probably less than $400. Do some shopping before you decide to fix the old one.

I ordered a pizza. No way was I going to go out shopping in the snow storm - we got another 5-6 inches on top of the 10 inches give or take already on the ground. LOL I laughed when I told the delivery guy that he took his chance pulling up in the driveway in his small car. Bigger cars have gotten stuck. Chinese take out. I felt guilty. Went to movies and had lunch at a Chinese restaurant next to theater. Told DH I'd bring home take out if he would like. Orange Beef, General Tsao's chicken, fried rice and hot and sour soup. Can't wait. The egg rolls are from the freezer. I made them a while back.

Spaghetti! The sauce is still cooking -- I'm a late eater! (Plus I took a nap with my pup after running to the mall today. That's another thing to put on Glenda's list: DO NOT go to the mall on MLK Day! But I got a good parking space, without having to drive around, so all is good!)
