I upgraded firefox and now I can't copy

and paste. is it just me? Or does anyone else have this problem. For example, I can't copy and paste this paragraph to paste to another bb. BUT, I CAN copy and paste the address from the bar above and paste it here. Just nothing in the body of the windwow. Is it just me?

How are you going about copying? Right click, menu bar, keyboard shortcut?

Check for Windows Updates and do another check for an update to Firefox. One thing about Firefox, the add-ons can affect basic processes in the program. I've experienced that a number of times. If all is updated, disable all of your extensions and see if it works.

Hi cynic!

I try to highlight and right click and nothing happens. Can only highlight.
I've tried to use the edit button at the top and it won't copy or paste. I don't know what the keyboard shortcut is. and I have NO clue about extensions! lol

I get the warning also that the certificate is expired or has errors or something like that each time I go to any page here to log in, I have been just clicking on continue on anyway and log in. I have found if I am logging in on a lot of different devices I will have to log in more often, I use my tablets, phone and pc regularly, at times I get the log in requirement on one, it also happens with other sites, my guess is their detection sees a new device or browser and want to make sure I really am who I say I am.

sometimes firefox will hang on shutdown anytime that happens just do as bpgreen said go to contrl alt delete select firefox and choose to end task, that will shut it down for you. If ever you have it pop up a box that says firefox is running already or that the profile is in use you need to create a new profile don't ever do that just close out that box and do exactly what I said above and end task on it.

Jane, There is a wave of concern where users are beginning to feel more like beta testers rather than end users. This rapid fire Firefox release approach may come back to haunt Mozilla particularly with no substantial browser improvements. The interesting thing is v9.0 was released on December 20th and two days later v9.0.1 was released. Looks to me like v9.0 beta 6 could have used a little more testing. DA

And old trick in the early days of PCs (8088, 286 perhaps) was to power the thing down, unplug it from the wall and wait several seconds and then power it up. I've once resolved a problem within the last couple of years reverting back to that obsolete method. (I've an old TV that must be unplugged from the wall ever time it is turned on. This must have something to do with a chip inside.) Today GW gave me a couple of blank screens and I had to reload. These things happen occasionally but should not happen day after day.

okay... I went to tool bar and looked at tools to
add ons and I disabled the yahoo tool bar.
I have an avg tool bar
java console, java quick start, move media player7,
signup shield ( one click password manager/spam control/anti phishing toolbar)
and then the yahoo tool bar i disabled.

When you highlight it try pressing and holding the ctrl key, then press C and let off both. Then try pasting it into something. Ctrl+v will paste or use edit paste, or right click and paste.

The add-ons (aka extensions) in your browser will show under Tools/Add-ons.

hey, I just closed my browser, and re opened it to get rid of the yahoo and guess what?
I can now copy and paste! thank you so much!

and thanks for the keyboard shortcuts!
