Jubilee Joe's my favorite: first I had a cup of chicken and sausage gumbo without rice. Then when finished, had a cup of cajun crab bisque. Can't get better than that.

Neighbor friend had two 8 oz coupons for Yogurt Twist, so I had salted caramel yogurt with caramel sauce to top. Friend had vanilla, chocolate and strawberry in her cup.

while we were out we picked up fried chicken, my husband's choice.

We will probably finish up the chicken scarpariello or the seafood chowder. I've been cooking all day....tomorrow is my dinner party. I still have to make the dessert. First I was going to have individual trifles, then I decided to do a cheesecake because it's much easier, than I got to thinking about that leftover cheesecake and how much I love cheesecake so I ruled that out. I finally decided to make a pumpkin roll. Pretty easy, too, and most of it should be gone tomorrow night. I'm still working on appetizers, too. Trying to keep them simple because I have a big dinner planned. I made butternut squash soup and froze it last week. I also made some apple sauce last week and the dinner rolls. All went in the freezer, so that part was easy. The salad is all done, just has to be assembled....spinach with sliced pears, chopped hazel nuts,, red onion and cranberries with a balsamic dressing. Main course, loin of pork roast , make ahead mashed potatoes and moque choux. I posted the recipe for the pork a few days ago. It's really very good. This is my last hurrah for the holidays. The decorations come down starting this weekend.

georgysmom, what time am I to be there tomorrow night?

I had a Stouffer's entree....chicken breast and mashed potatoes. I heated up some canned peas to go with it.

DH had 'rotator cuff' surgery today~~we were up and out by 5:30am~~~he is dragging from surgery, I am from just being up so early and fiddling with him.

He just ate a PJ sandwich right now~~~~I ate a candy bar that I have given up for 4 months~~~I guess that is proof I am a stress eater;) OH and I ate for lunch 2 Del Taco bean/cheese green burrito, with extra sauce.

So you ask what is for dinner~~~LOL I guess it is an anything goes day/dinner for us;)

We are in Phoenix and will be going to a wonderful Mexican restaurant for dinner. I think Sharon and I will be sharing fajitas since they give you so much food. Mike is drooling since the restaurant is one of his favorites.

Depends on which of the leftovers I reheat. DH is having blackeyed peas, potato salad and greens. I think I'll have fried oysters and Glenda's Alaskan coleslaw. OTOH I could have turkey and dressing. So much food, so many choices.LOL

With spending all morning and half the afternoon in court, we had a very late lunch at a favorite diner--DH had Chicken Pot Pie, I had Corned beef and cabbage. Thinking we'll probably skip dinner, and maybe just munch on the Danish (our included dessert) leftover from lunch.

Glenda, I agree you can't get much better than that--especially the crab bisque. And the frozen yogurt ;-)

Raven, I haven't had fried chicken in ages and it sure sounds good. Wish KFC was closer!

Georgysmom--aah, tomorrow is your dinner party. Everything sounds delicious. I'll probably take our decorations down this weekend, too. I got them up so late I'm still enjoying the tree at night. But our HOA says we have to have them down by Jan. 6. Bah humbug!

Shirley, I'd eat Stouffer's every night if I had my druthers--well, maybe not every night but I sure do like their entrees.

YogaLady, that doesn't sound like a very fun day. And I know quite well the stress you feel. I'm the opposite. When I feel stressed, I can't eat. It's just the other 99% of the time when I have a problem!

Jude, mind if we all come over and help you out with the leftovers. Those fried oysters sure sound deliious, but so does the turkey.

Azzalea, both your lunches sound so good. I wouldn't want dinner either. But if you were to twist my arm I could probably eat the Danish ;-)

I put an extra plate on the table for you Shirley. Dinner is at 5:30. Well, actually, dinner itself is at 6:30.

Patti, I don't know if I could live in your neighborhood. I've been known to put hearts on my tree and call it a valentine tree! I will even admit to having one tree up until March! Admittedly, they were both rare occasions but I have two daughters that share a January 17th birthday and when they were younger they would beg me to leave the tree up until their birthday. I have gotten better over the years but always had to leave it up until January 6th.

Just finished baking my cake and while it's cooling, will make some ham roll-ups, then the cake filling and I'm done for tonight. My other two appetizers can't be made until tomorrow. One is apple slices spread with goat cheese and dipped in finely chopped pistachios and candied ginger and the other is butterflied shrimp tempura with plum sauce. That one is really last minute but I have no problem visiting and frying. Everyone gathers in my kitchen anyway.
Will probably not get to talk to you tomorrow but you know what's for dinner already. LOL

I made BBQ chicken and veggies in the crock-pot and steamed rice to go with. There's still peanut butter cup brownies for dessert.
