I opened a can of ravioli and nuked a bowl of it. Not as tasty as I remember it when I was a kid. During the winter I like to keep a stock of canned foods in the pantry in case of power outage, but I keep eating them!

Chicken and dressing sounds great.

Again too early to tell here~~~when I was out at the dr today, I did bring home(@1:15) a burrito for my DH, he already ate it, but maybe that could count as dinner?

Are there any rules about this???

I fried some lean ground pork patties, sauteed some mushrooms and topped it all with mushroom soup. I put that concoction on some barley I had cooked. Added a side of steamed vegetables. Made for a pretty good meal.

Best part of my lunch was butter peas and piece of cornbread.

I went with the girls today and decided since we had some coupons we would eat at O'Charley's. My coupon was for all you can eat, soup, salad and rolls for $5.00. The girls got steak, salad and veggies. The food was good, but our server left a lot to be desired. She told them at the kitchen to hold our food till we were finished with our salads, never did ask if I wanted more of my endless soup and salad let alone rolls. Every time something was asked for it took forever. Finally the check had not come and no containers for the to go food, so we left Cheryl there with money to pay for the food and we had to go to the eye doctor appointment. It is good that both girls drove today. Tomorrow I will have my second bowl of loaded baked potato soup.

Schoolhouse, it's a smart thing to do to stock up in case of a blackout. We do that in the summer when hurricane's may be a problem. I usually stock albacore tuna, sardines and smoked oysters for Harry and some canned soup even though it's salty ;-) Last year I was a little lax, so I'd better not get too cocky about our not having hurricanes for a while.

YogaLady, as a matter of fact, there are rules! The rules say that whoever eats his dinner for lunch has to fix dinner. Does that sound okay?

made the huge mistake of trying a new "flavor" pizza tonight, it wasn't that great..(a1 steak sauce and steak)the place makes a great sub of that but this was way too heavy on the a1...so am finishing up my ice tea from sam's club...

Big mixed green salad with plenty of other fresh veggies, topped with blackened shrimp. I made some buttered croutons and homemade ranch.

Comfort food, for a damp. cold, drizzly evening.
Meatloaf, mashed potatoes and stewed tomatoes.
Ice cream and homemade cookies for desert.

Yes, Patti that sounds fair~but since DH is laid up I can not hold him to it.

Schoolhouse, I still like ravioli in a can. At least I think I do. Haven't had it in years. Meatloaf sounds good to me. In fact almost everything sounds better to me. I'm with Glenda. The best part of my meal tonight was the guacamole and the queso dip. Tonight was Mexican night at the club after which we played Mexican train. The Mexican train part was fun.

Yogalady, DH eats things in the refrigerator that I was planning on serving for dinner all the time. Even when it's hidden. It's not even lunch for him. It's a snack! Grrrr. I keep meaning to take to notes.....DO NOT EAT, but alas, I always forget.

I made the oyster stew that I was going to make last night. It came out delicious and plenty for a couple more meals.
