Don't know about "Sunday" yet. But It's city chicken for tonight. Mashed potatoes with gravy and some kind of vebetable from the freezer. And a tossed salad with cranberries and walnuts.

Well, dang, I did it again. Sure can tell I'M retired!! Don't know what day it is half the time!!

I just had some of my pot roast I made today.

Let's just face it.......you don't like Saturdays. (I didn't even notice till you pointed it out.)

I had unstuffed cabbage tonight, along with mashed potatoes, and cottage cheese with a dollop of blueberry pie filling on top of it.

I did some cleaning today........and some other odds/ends. I was so thankful for how beautiful it was here in Ohio, before the next front comes through.

Pam, speaking of "cracking up"--Iseriously think I'm beginning to--literally! Now, who wouldn't love to be having dinner at your house?? And I'd happily share the cake. I want to make a different dessert, but not until the cake is gone.

Shirley, you're right about that--I don't like Saturdays. I have to tell Harry about your cottage cheese with BB pie filling. He would just love that. He has cottage cheese for lunch often. Had it with peaches for lunch today.

Sunday, well, I'm having a bowl of neighbors white chili (she even cooked her own beans)and cornbread sticks :o) and I'll baked me a sweet potato as a side.

Yes, Izzi likes cold weather and the snow even though her little toes get chilly and she will walk all dainty. Right now she is a real fur ball. She goes Wed. to get groomed. I will not have her clipped down though.

Homemade chicken noodle soup, maybe or a quiche...if I go in there and make it. Made the soup for lunch... late one today.

On Monday I have book club here at 10:00 a.m. and Bridge here at 1:00. I was on my feet a lot this afternoon baking two different kinds of cookies and tomorrow I will make a jelly roll. I sat down to take a little rest and fell sound asleep. I have some Manhattan clam chowder heating up (thank goodness for the freezer) and warming up some homemade rolls. That's what's for dinner at my house tonight. I'm hoping for a second wind so I can get a little cleaning done on the back half of the house. We'll see.

Made a chicken pot pie and I also thought it was Sunday!!! Had a spinach salad on the side. Good but not enough to hit the spot. Started cleaning the dishes after the meal and made an old recipe that I had been looking high and low for the past two months. Thought of Patti43 when I saw it and remembered (hope I am right on this one) that she liked cranberries. I don't think I posted this before. It came out wonderful and the cake part was light and just sweet enough to satisfy. I know better than to get at it while it is still hot but we did anyway. Letting it cool gives the sauce a chance to thicken or set a bit.

Cranberry Pudding
1/2 C brown sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1 C flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 C milk
1 C or more whole cranberries
Mix all dry ingredients with the cranberries, add the milk and drop by
tbsp into the "sauce"

Sauce
2 C hot water
1 Tbsp butter
1 C brown sugar (I use less..but we don't mind the tartness)
1 tsp vanilla
Stir together in a deep casserole dish....drop the above mix into the sauce.
Bake at 375� until golden brown cake floats to the top. In my oven that was almost 25 minutes

Family was home for a frigid fishing derby day. I made a huge kettle of chicken vegetable soup and a crockpot of barbecued pork.

Patti: I like to put fruit in with my Greek yogurt. When I get tired of that, I put pie filling in it, as sort of a 'dessert'. I've used lemon, apple and cherry also. Today I looked at the pie filling in the refrigerator right next to the cottage cheese and.......voila. It was good.

DH grilled himself a pork chop and threw an extra large sweet potato on that we shared. I had bought a frozen stuffed chili at Sprouts to try~~it is a brand I have not tried before and it had few ingredients and no chemicals, it was very good~~I will try more of that brand. I made us a kale/veggie salad to round it out;)
