Thank you all, my dear, dear friends. Yesterday we had one of those days here at our house -- no water for 36 hours, Freya sneaking a pizza off the kitchen counter, and the smell of fresh polyurethane pervading the cold, damp house.... On the other hand, I had the loving affection of Tom and my DS Jacob, calls and cards from family, and greetings from all of you. And tonight we're going out to dinner to try celebrate again. Carla, Luanne, Jon, Anita, Lori, Ingrid, Sue, Carolina, Pamela, and Carol -- each one of your messages brought smiles and memories to my mind. I just realized that with the exception of Ingrid, I know each one of you in the Real World (as opposed to online) -- Ingrid, we'll just have to correct that soon. Lou, thanks for the birthday serenade. A BIG thank you to rest of you for the good wishes! I had, maybe the best birthday ever. When you're my age they're all the best, I guess. LOL Monday night, my middle daughter invited us for barbeque supper, Yesterday 3 of my nieces, one of whom lives on the lake invited us for lunch and Fisherman Bob got to fish while we visited. Fished 2 hours and a half, got one bite, but thoroughly enjoyed it. We almost overstayed our welcome, I think. Lunch tomorrow with son and his wife and daughter. Still have a dinner with Bob waiting in the wings. It's been a whirlwind 3 weeks. Mother's day followed by our 50th Anniversary, a short trip to Charleston....I always love going there... and then the birthday. Guess I'll take a backseat now, to Father's Day. Thanks again, everyone You're the greatest! jude

Saturday???? That's not long enough, Annie!!! Starting with lunch with Tracy (DD#2) today, and it just keeps on going.

BTW, I have gotten mulch etc., for my birthday before, by my request.

Oh y'all, it has been a wonderful day! Started out with plans to meet Tracy, middle daughter, for lunch, but when I got there my other 2 daughters, one from out of town, were there, as well as my best friend. Total surprise!!!

We ate at this really nice little French cafe, downtown, that specializes in crepes. Did a little shopping afterwards at Mast General Store anad another little shop downtown.

Had a bunch of phone calls, emails, got cash,(my favorite shade of green), gift cards and some nice gifts. This was not the year for mulch..lol

I never dreamed turning eight "0" would be so much fun!

Thank you, one and all, for your good wishes.

P.S. David this little energizing bunny just ran out of "juice". What a wonderful day it has been!
