I forgot to mention my birthday dinner. I chose to go have barbecue ribs with Bob. I don't usually do cake so a simple dinner. He has had some serious health issues so glad he felt like going out. Our youngest grandaughter was married this past Sunday, near Nashville...outdoor wedding in 98 degree weather and he had to miss seeing the ceremony. So in ways this was a stressful week but much better now. DD's Tracy and Lu are taking me to lunch today and DS Richard has already planned for midweek, so "the beat goes on". jude

I had a great birthday! Daughters #2 and #3 wanted to take me to lunch yesterday but I preferred today and it was wonderful!

DH is feeling better so he went with us.I had am appetizer that was smoked salmon on potato cakes, 4 of them, with red onion,capers etc. Ate 2 brought the other 2 home for later. We had a little bubbly to celebrate and the restaurant brought creme brulee with a candle. If I had to pick a favorite dessert that would be it, besides apple pie, that is. I find that depends on what the rest of the meal is and today it was perfect!

Worked in the garden this afternoon trying to straighten up corn that had blown over and tying up some of the tomato plants and also gettin the beans in a position for them to climb the fence. That required cutting a very long cane of bamboo and cutting the foliage off. This farming is new to me but I'm gettin there. Bob is not physically able to do it anymore. Pocked the first ripe tomato that we'll have with hamburgers in just a little while.

Love it, Jasdip. As a matter of fact, DS and his family are taking me to lunch for my birthday today, so the beat goes on...and on. I never celebrate for just a day.

Glad you're celebrating more than one day, since I guess I just didn't see this until now. That's what happens when you've had too many--birthdays :-)

So belated Happy Birthday, dear Jude--and sing on!
