You did a bang up job. I love our color choices. I'm a dark wood or painted cabinet fan, but you've really chosen elements to make your cabinets shine.

How long did it take?

It's really a nightmare.. We bought the house end of October. I had 2 weeks trip when I got back the kitchen was gone :(

We didnt know how much a kitchen reno will cost (budgeted 4k!! :P) Now we are up to 12k and not done yet.

So Nov 1 - Jan 13th? I guess compare to what others posted here - it's actually pretty quick.

The last decision to be made is the granite.. We finally picked a fabricator yesterday. We looked in prefab as well but cost difference is not that much. The granite fabricator will install both countertops and backsplash.

Well, it sure looks like all those extra $$ have been well invested. I really like your cabinets, too.

I've always seem a counter seam at the sink. It's less noticeable. A tiny, maybe 2" seam vs. an entire 25" seam across a whole counter.

Anyway! I'd love to see more photos as you go along.

We didnt think/plan, the $4k just a number we picked out of the air :P

I really like a white kitchen but it didn't go with the house. Also it's way more expensive. So I asked the cabinet guy, what's the least expensive door and this is it. We loved it. Rustic knot cherry as well and it will darken like the crown molding over time.

We have picked counter top, we will go with new venetian gold and have template done tomorrow!! Thanks for the input! Will deft post the finished product, hopefully done in 2 weeks!

The elkay is black. DH(this stands for Dear husband right?) picks the color.

We also picked our granite slab last weekend! We went with NVG. Our fabricator will throw in the remnants for the bathroom. We are pretty scared? that he won't do a good job.. Seam will be at the sink and DH picked 1/4" chamfer eased edge for kitchen and I wanted double pencil round for bathroom.

I am contemplating to change the backsplash... We'll visit HD to see what's on clearance..

So you took out a wall?. Those cabinets are really cool and the NVG should look great with them. Feel free to post backsplash tiles that are in the running as a choice for you. We love helping to pick. :) Can't wait to see more photos.

Yes we did, I totally forgot about this.

We tear out the wall from the dining room to kitchen, it looks so nice and open now. (Unaccounted cost: Drywall)

We were going to add an upper cabinet (glass door) on top of the bar and changed our mind. Instead we add 2 pendant light (Westinghouse pendant kit for $15 at HD)

Thanks, it turns out really nice (it's the least expensive cabinet they have!)
