Florida Get Together....

anyone interested? My Dad has his birthday on February 9. I am looking at flying into Tampa on the 6th and could have a get together either the 7th or 8th (7th would be better for me).

I will drive down to Naples on the 8th or early morning of the 9th. Would also like to meet up with the gals in the Ft. Meyers area sometime that week. Either a get together or individually.

Then I thought I would travel over to the East coast on the 13th and hopefully get together with Marion and April and anyone else that lives over there. This would be in the Miami or North of Miami area.

Looking at flying home on February 18 or there abouts.

I need to know if anyone is interested in getting together so that I can arrange my flights accordingly.

Would LOVE to do this again!

For me, it would have to be a weekend, as I have no time-off hours left at work. But that would be wonderful!!!!

alisande - please come if you can. This is all so new to me. I have been addicted to the kitchen forum during our re-hab (a very long story) but during that time, I would lurk at KT and I am excited about meeting some KT folks. Perhaps, alisande, we could do a little research re the "oldies but goodies" boyfriends and arrange a coincidental meeting -;) I apologize for using GW names. Hi Lana, yes there is going to be 2 get togethers. The first one will be in Tampa on Feb. 7th. So far there is Mimi Boo, Sharon FL, Dances and myself. I know there are more people than that in the Tampa area but haven't heard anything from them. The second one will be over near Hobe Sound, which is North of Miami. I am hoping I can get in touch with April and Marion who live in that area. I am planning on driving over there for the day and Carol will ride with me. I also had hopes of meeting with Shequit (MK) while in Naples. She posted to one of my threads but I guess the email from the GW wasn't working. Hopefully she will write to me or give me a call on my cell phone which is the number she called me at last year. I didn't know that Summer and McCloud were going to Florida. I know that the temperatures have been down. If I had a bad back I think I would be flying instead of driving.

Dances!!! It's so wonderful to see your name on the page. I can't wait to read your blog. Big hugs to you and yours! How's Cedric? I think by this fall the house will be ready to set up the fish tank again. I was thinking of getting a couple more goldfish and immediately thought of Cedric. Nita care to take a short detour on your way to Fl? I can guarantee you will see lots of white stuff! LOL

Anyone that hasn't met Nita DO IT!! She is a sweetheart and a wonderful person! IF you've met her before then I know you will do it again.

Nita - I think you remember what happened last year - husband's stroke. He is primo at this point, BTW. I will try to be a memeber of the "get together" and would surely love to meet you. Keep me posted. I think you know my e-mail.

I am so happy that you all want to get together again. Getting together in Tampa and on the East coast would definitely be on a weekend. I hope that we can get others to join us.

Hi Barbara, I am looking forward to seeing you again also. Hopefully we can get Sharon to join us and others in the Tampa area. Start thinking of a place that we can meet where we can sit and chat and have some good food also. The place we went to last time was really nice but I can't remember the name of it.

Anyone else out there that wants to have some fun and get to meet folks from the KT?

Sent you an email Nita w/my addy. I am so coming on the 7th..we met at CODY'S on Hillsboro Ave-just east of the Flea Market & Racetrack Rd.
The ONLY reason I might not be able to attend-(and I won't know until my consult on Jan 22nd), is I believe I'm having surgery on my eyelids & the Dr assured me that I'd have two big old shiners for about a week..egads! Will stay in touch w/y'all here at the KT.
