Update on Florida Get Together

Thank you all for replying. It will be great to meet new folks and renew friendships with those who I have met before.

Patti, how about getting together on Friday the 12th? I haven't heard from Joan. Since we will have Friday free we could come and visit you in Ocala. Name a place and time and we will be there with bells on.

Monablair please let me know when you find out if you will be coming. I have talked to both Barbara and Sharon and they will be coming. Probably will be at the same restaurant as before.

Renee, we will only have to spend one night in a hotel and that will be in Melbourne so I don't think we will have to worry.

It looks like we will be spending Friday at my cousin's house and will head for Titusville on Saturday morning. We still need to find a restaurant and decide on a time. You gals going to Titusville have any ideas. Sandie since you live there can you make a suggestion?

Liz, do you think you could meet us in Titusville on Saturday around 11 or so? I sure would love to meet you. Hopefully you can work us into your busy schedule.

Anne we will be spending the night in Melbourne so can meet with you in the evening or very late afternoon. Need to have travel time from Titusville. Looking forward to meeting you.

Marion and April, could we meet around noon on Sunday the 14th? You name the place and we will be there. Nothing expensive but want to have time to visit. Carol and I will head back to Ft. Myers after our get together.

This is going to be so much fun. Carol and I are looking forward to meeting each of you. I hope that these plans fit into everyone's schedules. I can be contacted by email at runvswing@hotmail.com

Nita, I am looking forward to it also. I think that we met at Dixie Crossroads last time. We have a Sonny's Bar B Q, Pancake House, Village Inn. We also have a neat buffet, it use to be Ryan's but it is now Whistle Junction.. They are all good and it doesn't matter to me. You chooose. :-)

alisande - please come if you can. This is all so new to me. I have been addicted to the kitchen forum during our re-hab (a very long story) but during that time, I would lurk at KT and I am excited about meeting some KT folks. Perhaps, alisande, we could do a little research re the "oldies but goodies" boyfriends and arrange a coincidental meeting -;) I apologize for using GW names. Hi Lana, yes there is going to be 2 get togethers. The first one will be in Tampa on Feb. 7th. So far there is Mimi Boo, Sharon FL, Dances and myself. I know there are more people than that in the Tampa area but haven't heard anything from them. The second one will be over near Hobe Sound, which is North of Miami. I am hoping I can get in touch with April and Marion who live in that area. I am planning on driving over there for the day and Carol will ride with me. I also had hopes of meeting with Shequit (MK) while in Naples. She posted to one of my threads but I guess the email from the GW wasn't working. Hopefully she will write to me or give me a call on my cell phone which is the number she called me at last year. I didn't know that Summer and McCloud were going to Florida. I know that the temperatures have been down. If I had a bad back I think I would be flying instead of driving.

Nita, the 12th is fine with me. Whatever works out for you. And a bonus, I get to meet Carol, too!

Would you two consider coming to our house for lunch or would you rather meet at a restaurant? We could be louder here, but I'd understand if a restaurant would be more neutral since we haven't met. But I promise not to poison you ;-)

We do have some pretty good restaurants just off the interstate if that would be better.

Still hoping to hear from JoanMN/FL. The more the merrier!

Patti, coming to your house for lunch would be wonderful. I love going to people's homes and please don't go out of your way for us we are just so happy to be able to meet you.

Sandie, I am going to choose the buffet since we can sit, visit and get things as we want and no feel hurried. Is your daughter, Lisa, going to be able to meet with us? It sure would be nice to see her again.
