Time is getting close for the FL get togethers

I am flying out on Monday morning and wonÂt have computer access for this trip. I hate that my folks and my cousin donÂt have Internet. Carol and I are looking forward to meeting everyone on our Florida Tour.

HereÂs the schedule of where we will be meeting everyone.

Feb. 10th Cody's Original Roadhouse, 11202 W. Hillsborough Ave. , Tampa at 6 PM.

Feb. 12th Lunch with Patti43 at her home in Ocala 11:30.

Sat. 13th Whistle Junction, 3125 Columbia Boulevard, Titusville at 11 AM.

Sun. 14th Pueblo Viejo Restaurant, 270 NW Peacock Blvd, Port St Lucie at 12 PM.

If anyone wants or needs to get in touch with me please email me at runvswing@hotmail.com I will check my email from CarolÂs house on the morning of the 10th before we head up to my cousinÂs house in Dade City. Those of you that have my cell number can call me at any time. If you don't have my cell number and would like it please email me at the above address before midnight EST Sunday.

This sounds like a great time to me. I've never been to a gathering of gardeners that wasn't! Most of what I have to share is common yard ornamentals, and quite a few house plants/questionably hardy plants. So thought I'd drop a note here to gauge the general interest in such among likely attendees. I'll take a fresh look around and post a list soon. I would be especially interested in any nectar and/or host plants for butterflies/hummers, and more Passiflora plants or seeds, if anyone has any to share. The cutting I planted last year turned into a huge mass of vine, but in the past few days, it's almost gone and sadly, doesn't look like it can regrow fast enough to make something for all of the new (gulf fritillary) caterpillars to eat.

Well, we had a wonderful visit. Nita is just as everyone describes--and she really does give great hugs. Carol is cute as can be and so comfortable to be around. I really enjoyed their visit and so did Harry. For lunch we had ham salad, tarragon chicken salad and egg salad sandwiches, a pasta salad, tomato-feta salad and for dessert raspberry trifle. I can't believe we talked for over four hours--the time just flew by. The weather was cold and rainy but it was sunny and warm in my house today!

What wonderful happy pictures to look at. I was there is spirit with you...I could even hear your beautiful voices. Really! That phone call was the highlight of my week! Thank you for thinking of me. I am so glad that I was home to answer. You are all the greatest. Maybe next year a phone call won't be needed for me to hear all that laughter and fun.
