Lilym there was a set of black dishes up on freecycle here. I emailed and asked for them, but haven't heard back. I didn't tell them I wanted to break them!!LOL I doubt they'd understand!! Maria

I was just opening a bunch of bags of stuff I bought at a thrift store half price sale just before my car broke down and went to the shop for two months. It's like christmas again LOL (Car came back today). I'm having a ball and also wondering what kind of crack I was smoking that day (do any of you need two dozen depression glass cordials? heh heh) Anyhoo, those will go on the shelf and I'll now invest in cordial stuff.... But a couple things made me smile...two fou dogs...I don't know if they're worth what I paid for them (high for a thrift store, low for an art gallary IMO) but their worth does not matter...the dogs are wonderful. I hate asian crap...and yet keep buying fou dogs...what's up with that? I'm starting to name them LOL I also bought a dandy guy in ceramic something...looks like a 16th century cross dresser. He is on my desk now...he makes me grin :) I need some cordial stuff I think...LOL They were sold as "wines" by the way....and I can report with great accuracy that they don't hold enough wine to make it worth your while to wash them LOL BTW I almost bought a gurgling pitcher many years ago and always regretted it. It was kind of pricy and I didn't know the back story so I walked away and when I pulled up this thread and saw your picture it came right back to mine. It was a pastel yellow...devine in a very goofy way :) I never heard it gurgle but I still miss that pitcher that got away!!! Wonderful find!!!

I looked at the link to ebay for the signed book just to see and because I have a few RR autographs one is a book "American Life" 2 are in autograph books from my visits to Hollywood as a young girl and then when I went in my 30s. The link is only for auctions ongoing and what is being asked for a signed book. I went to completed auctions and saw the last one sold for less than I paid for my pre-ordered copy of "Shelters of Stone" when it first came out. I would assume most anything signed by Ronald Reagan would fetch a few dollars if the signature had been authenticated. His own books 1st edition and signed by him haven't sold for that much. His autograph is not rare by any means. He signed autographs as an actor for many years, then signed a lot of the presidential memorabilia for all those years and after his presidency continued to sign autographs on his many books. Completed E-bay AUTOGRAPHED RONALD REAGAN BOOK "WHERE'S THE REST OF ME?" 20 Bids Sold $275.03 End Date:Aug-14 17:15 I wonder why would RR be signing a book by Jean M Auel? LIL Here is a link that might be useful: completed auction for JMAuel signed book

All dogs should be treated like royalty, IMO! I know mine sure are! So, Bonnie, the question is what to do with the white sofa in the first pic - that looks like either metal or vinyl? And you either want to cover the pieces (is it two - one for the seat and one for the back? ) cushions that are on it now, or do something else? Just want to be certain of what you want to do before I offer suggestions. What is the budget for the project? Wish I lived near you, as we could whip up something to cover the current cushions fast, and make a coordinating cover for Billie's! My royalty - on a gorgeous made for Hitchcock leather sofa that I immediately bought a Sure Fit cover made especially for pets for. I only get to see the leather when I wash the cover! But all my kids are rescues, and they are very appreciative.
