I just opened 2 huge bags of MGPS last night,and yes the same thing happened to me!!!! I already threw some soil under my trees, bushes and knockout roses., before I noticed that Horrible odor emerging from the bag! Like......if something died in the bag! I hope I did not do damaged to my garden! It will be pretty hard to remove that smelly soil! I can’t believe this is Miracle Gro Soil! Im not sure if I should use this soil to plant my Cannas. I spent a lot of money on the plants and don’t want to see my Flower plants go to waste! I’m thinking maybe moisture seep into the bag and perhaps ithe soil needs to dry out For a few days before using the soil! does anyone have any idea what to do? Miracle Gro Soil is losing their credibility with me that’s for sure. I will be contacting the company.

I personally would refrain from tying it into the existing heating/cooling system. For it to be effective, you would need a return as well as a supply duct. The return would bring the musty odor and mold spores back into the rest of the house. If the area is not vented to allow air to move through, then you can be assured of having dampness. For the uses you mention, I would use a dehumidifier (or add vents to the outside if energy use is an issue). If it has a musty smell, use lava rock in mesh containers.It will absorb the odor and if you hang them in the sun periodically, they will be as effective as the day you first used them!!....You can buy them at any good hardware store.

Hopefully your ductwork is in good condition and properly sized. The fan should be sized for the bathroom. Here are some guidelines: Small rooms: For bathrooms up to 100 square feet in area, HVI (Home Ventilation Institute) recommends that an exhaust fan provide 1 CFM per square foot (approximately eight air changes per hour) to properly ventilate the bathroom. Example: Bathroom is 8'x5' (with 8' ceilings). Multiply 8 x 5 = 40ft. Bathroom area is 40ft. At 1 cfm per square foot the minimum recommendation is a fan rated at 40 cfm. Larger rooms: For bathrooms above 100 square feet in area, HVI recommends a ventilation rate based on the number and type of fixtures present, according to the following table: Toilet 50 CFM Shower 50 CFM Bath Tub 50 CFM Jetted Tub 100 CFM Duration of ventilation: HVI recommends that the fan be left on for 20 minutes after use of the bathroom. A timer is a good solution, allowing the fan to turn off automatically at the proper time. One thing you should know is most fans only produce 50% of the rated cfm because of undersized and poorly installed ducts. Bottom section of the door itself. I can't remember at this point where else we saw signs of moisture problems as it's been months since we looked at it. We rather quickly ruled it out because of that and general lack of an anal retentive owner who took good care of the place. Obviously reconsidering it now though if price was low enough. I know a good GC in the area. I don't have all that much confidence in inspectors.
