Fix or replace Whirlpool Duet GHW9100LW2 Washer?

18 months ago, I bought a Whirlpool Duet GHW9100LW2 washer from a used appliance store for $400. I have the matching dryer that I got new from Lowes on clearance. The washer is using HOT water for every wash cycle and the repair man was just here. It needs a new main control board, and the parts and labor total $385.92. Since I bought the washer used and I'm not completely sure how old it actually is, I'm not crazy about the idea of sinking another $400 into it. WWYD in my shoes? Fix, or replace?

Second part of the question - If you were to replace it and wanted to spend around $800 or less on a new washer, what would you replace it with?

Thanks for the guidance!
