Yep- it seems as if the items are talking to you? I get that a lot. We have recently begun downsizing our clutter and only keeping small bits. If it did not "speak" to me, out it went. I got those weird vibes you got on a few things too. Those I dusted and put back for now. Maybe Granddad is visiting? I think that happens.

Triahaw....I agree that it is like the pieces are trying to tell me something....each that had a connection was harder to put down...or things not even from him seemed to have some connection like a photo etc. it was like whatever I touched suddenly had some resemblence of him....sorry I know this sounds weird...I am just at a loss as to what this means. Also my cat is pretty ticked!
I have given up working on the housecleaning and am now on the computer but he is really in my thoughts today...no anniversary coming up or anything like that.

I have a rose my Grandmother made me out of clay when I was about 4. I don't keep it on display, it's in a special drawer. When I open the drawer, I always pick up the rose and finger it. It makes me feel closer to Grandma, to touch the petals she formed with her fingers. She passed away in 1961, when I was 8.

Nearly everything that I own that was a gift or passalong connects me mentally to the giver/owner. Sometimes it is fleeting and sometimes it lingers like yours is doing now.

When I look at patchwork quilts that contain scraps of material from clothing from many years ago it affects me similarly. I remember what I and others were doing when we were wearing clothing of that material, even if it might be from half a century ago.

Maybe thats why housework makes me sad. LOL!

I can remember how ever single item came into my house. That's my problem I treasure everything. But, I really want to get ride of a huge stuffed toy Tiger that takes up to much space.

I live in the same house my parents lived in a few years before they both passed,Mom has been gone 17 years, my dad
has been gone 16 years. It was a home they rented for about 5 years, We purchased the home after they were both gone. We have done major remodling on the home and lots of landscaping.
When my folks lived there I know it was a happy time for them, they
loved the house, and Mom especially loved the yard and garden.
I often feel them in the house, and especially Mom when I am doing yard work. Maybe it sounds strange, but it gives me comfort. I feel they are looking down with approval, and appreciation. Our loved ones are never far away

Give your kitty extra love and attention, and check to make sure everything is OK with the cat. I came home one day after a horrible day at work, sat down, and my one of my cats was immediately all over me. no matter what I do she is right there tripping me, making me swoosh her out of the way etc - I could have written that statement that day. Turned out she was very, very sick.

I always think about the people that they came from and when. And I enjoy it.

I don't have much in my house from my parents that I can think of. I have a frog planter that my Grandma Bessie gave me and I think of her when I see it. I keep it in my hutch. I was pretty young when she gave it to me.
