Help me understand dryer venting please

We are in the final stages of house plans and DH insists our dryer be vented outside but the way the dryer is placed now it is placed along the outside wall on the back wall of the house. The problem is it will vent directly onto a small walkway between the back porch and garage. On one hand it doesn't really bother me because it won't be on during cookouts or on for length of time but it will collect lint in this area after awhile. I'd like to understand proper venting both through the wall and through the attic. I understand there is an exhaust van which can be used to assist to get the moister and lint UP and out through the attic. Is anyone familiar with these and what are your opinions on going this route? I've searched here under various venting areas and also haven't found much on the internet. Can anyone help with info on this?

Thank you so much,

Sunny
