    Oh yes, Annie, lemonade would be better for them than soft drinks. It still has sugar in it, but at least not all of the other things sodas have in them. I do drink soda, but I never turn down a glass of lemonade. I'm happy to hear that my Gram's recipe is well liked by your grandchildren :-).     I'm a few days late too but you should celebrate for at least one week any way. Happy birthday to our very own pioneer woman :-> And to think last night as I was dragging the ladder to the mango tree, I got such a kick out of the bunny eating a mango under my tree.     A Very Happy Birthday Wish To Mrs. Barnes!!! size=>color>size>color>color>color>color>color>I remember my first birthday after I got married. I was so excited to see what me new husband had for me. Well, he forgot, ran to the drug store and came back with a card that said "Happy Birthday Grandmother".     Thank you, everyone.

    Plans? I don't know yet. Elery is working until 11 p.m. then he's coming here, but it'll be tomorrow before he gets here.

    I told Ashley I wanted her to clean her room for my birthday. (grin) You'd know how big a gift that is, if you saw her room!

    Elery would like to go to dinner someplace "nice". I'd like to go to a WhiteCaps baseball game. LOL It's supposed to rain tomorrow, so baseball is probably out anyway.

    So, what am I doing? Darned if I know. I have a piece of fresh rhubarb/strawberry pie waiting for me for supper, the rest went to Dad's and Amanda's last night. The office made me my favorite, lemon bars, along with a bowl of hummus and pita chips.

    I have a new secretary, she's on day #6 and hasn't quit yet, so life is good. Plus, I took the first horseback ride of the season yesterday and Copenhagen was perfect, not even a twitch, although he hasn't been rideen at all in over 6 months.

    Yes, life is good. Now, if I can convince Ashley to clean that room...

    Have a wonderful birthday weekend! I know that Elery, thoughtful guy that he is, will do something special. He'll put the rest of our DH's to shame! (at least Cathy's and mine!)

    David, sorry, I was so excited to see Deb again, I didn't think of anything else.

    The pool is uncovered, but it's still pretty green. I can hear the frogs in there, I think, LOL. It's raining here, though, I suppose we could stand on the back deck without our suits and get just as wet. Somehow, though, it doesn't seem the same as skinny dipping. (grin)

    Hey pal, I hope you got most of your wishes granted. Oh, but you might as well give up on your kid cleaning her room for your birthday. Being a mom of two, I know how pointless that is; opt for World Peace, it's easier.

    Enjoy Ashley's mess Annie. Soon her room will be neat as a pin but will not look half as good...

    Btw... I'm still open to taking her as a wife in exchange for 1/2 cow and two chickens. I promise not to work her in the field everyday... at least not all day. She will have many many many grandchildren for you. A good life for sure.
