Thank you! Beautiful horse, BTW, he's got better hair than I do, LOL. I've been having some problems logging in this morning, I thought Gardenweb had fixed that, but apparently not. So far today I've been carrying old paint cans up from the basement, the County is having their "hazardous waste" clean up on Saturday. I've made coffee, returned some pop cans, weeded the herb garden. Elery is in Jackson picking up some more of his clothes and garage stuff. Yes indeed, the party is going wild here in White Cloud. (grin) We'll have a cookout on Saturday, here at my house. Dave's birthday was the 22nd. Elery and I had an anniversary on the 10th, Ashley's anniversary was the 17th, Elery's son Chris had a birthday on the 24th and Ashley's birthday is June 6. We're having one big cookout and then they're going to help me uncover the pool. We do know how to celebrate here... Thank you, thank you, everyone. I went to Amanda's on Saturday, the kids and I played on the Slip N Slide while Elery fried a turkey and Amanda and mother made fruit salad and potatoes. Makayla and I planted 6 strawberry plants in her raised garden bed and Madi splashed in the water. We had lemon cake with cream cheese frosting for dessert. Of course, first I had to walk that mile of fence because I had a short where the deer had run through. Darned things, they can jump 8 feet or something, but they never jump the fence, they go through, no matter how many markers I put on the wire so they can see it. Grrr. Rats on hooves, I need to eat more of them. I finished planting the garden, putting in two dozen sweet potato plants, so that fills up my half acre of tilled soil. Coconut, I didn't get fence posts, I got fence! 200 feet of woven wire for the barnyard. (grin) Just what I asked for.

I'll go to the farm, my stepmother called last night and there are some "family" issues that I need to address. Sigh.

Elery went home last night, and Ashley is coming today to pick up her WonderMutt, I've been keeping him all week. Along with Pancho and Cooper, it's been interesting. Tomorrow I'm cleaning the carpet...

I don't think there's cake in the future, but I'm kind of leaning toward taking the kids in to DQ for some ice cream.

Nope, no cooking at all. No meals at all, LOL, we went to DQ and I had a mint oreo blizzard. I didn't even make coffee this morning and I haven't eaten anything else yet, it's just too darned hot. 87F here and I'm melting!

So, ice cream, but no cake, it was way too hot for anyone to turn on an oven and they do know better than to buy a cake for me, LOL.

yes, Lou, I do. The WonderMutt has a bad Golden Retriever habit of gulping down a lot of water, taking in air when he does it, and then burps the water all over the carpet. Since he's a BIG dog, it's about a quart. And it's always on the light silver carpet. Always.

Ashley got home yesterday and hasn't picked him up yet, so I've still got him, cleaning the calf pens is less work than the WonderMutt!

A late Happy Birthday from me too Annie!! Guess you will putting up new fence next weekend. Big dogs equal big messes...trust me I know. I don't turn the AC on until it gets above 85 unless it's really humid. : ) Oh, unless Mom is here and I had to when Dad was down last weekend too. Wimps...LOL!

David, I don't even HAVE air conditioning, so I sit in front of the fan. I don't have the pool opened yet, it was too cold, geez, this weather just can't make up its mind.

Yes, Elery says I'm the only woman he's ever met who doesn't want jewelry, I just want fence!

Well, Elery hasn't met me! lol. I love getting things like you do, that are useful. A fence would be a great present. I've never been one for jewelry. The closest thing to that that I've asked for are rocks and boulders for the garden.

Sigh! I missed your big day! So a Happy Belated Birthday to you Annie!

One year I asked for a power washer...I got it and use it all the time. I also asked for an Auger to help me dig in the dirt and loosen it. It was to big to operated with two hands so I gave it to a fence guy! I so understand being excited about fencing. :-)

RR, I got a ladder last year and a wheel barrow the year before that. I could ask for kitchen stuff but because Elery likes to cook, he already has all that stuff and he brings it to my house. (grin)

Our latest "acquisition" is a Cuisinart rotisserie, he just finished 35 years with his employer and they let employees pick gift/bonuses from a catalog based on their years of employment. It was one of the bonuses, so it'll be coming here pretty soon, LOL.

So I can ask for fence and still play with the cooking stuff, double bonus!

It's nice when family/friends "really" know what pleases you.

I'm another one of those "no jewelery" people.
The Big Chief smoker was great!
The load of compost, Awesome!
