If I were to replace my oil-fired boiler-should I??

Only 100 amp service, so its oil or propane, no natural gas available here. It might seem like a stupid question whether to change from oil to propane. However, right now I am paying $1.10 per litre for oil, and 84cents per litre for propane for my fireplace(that is delivered price).

Also, can get a propane boiler with 93% effeciency, and oil a max of 86% effeciency.

I am assuming that the copper piping carrying oil to my boiler can be used to carry propane to a new boiler. So, think it should be a fairly straight forward swap-out?

Where the economies of scale gets skewed for me is in the btu value of these fuels. This is why I`m asking if someone out there has an idea which would be more economical? Thanks
