Oil-fired Boiler Recommendation

jack10017

I have an old Weil-McLain boiler that needs to be replaced.

I have had quotes from various people, the strongest recommendations seem to come down to the following two:

1. Burnham PV84, 127,000 BTUH - $6,900

2. American Standard APFWF132A95AB, 125,000 BTUH - $$7,000.

I have heard of Burnham being a good, reliable brand. American Standard have come back into making oil fired boilers again, and apparently the new boilers they are making are much better than most others (almost ranking with Buderus!).

Any views on which of these two boilers I should go with? Or any other make? The prices I have been quoted so far are in the right range for me - I do not want to go above those numbers.

Thanks in advance for your help!
