All the Front Loader washers that I have seen have a door that opens from the right, with hinges on the left. So a FL washer will fit in your space and the door will open just fine. My FridGEmore set is stacked. On the matching dryer, you can switch the hinges on the door so that it opens from either the right or the left. Usually, the dryer door opens from the left, hinges on the right so that when you put the pair side-by-side (washer left, dryer right) the doors open out from the middle, as it were. Since mine are stacked, I had the installers switch the door hinges on the dryer so the doors both open the same way. If you consider this option, make sure the dryer you purchase will allow you to switch the hinges to the left side. In your space, stacking the washer and dryer (with the dryer door set up to open the same way as the washer door) means that BOTH doors would be able to swing 180 degrees. You may not see stacked units in model homes, but I assure you that there are lots of homes that have the units stacked. (Besides, who cares what they do in model homes? This is your home - do what works for you.) I don't think there's one best way to install the laundry equipment when it comes to side-by-side vs. stacked. It's more a matter of personal preference and how you want to use the space. My personal experience has been that loading and unloading the washer is not a big issue: I put clothes in, I take them out and move them up to the open dryer. I like having the dryer at eye level. I tend to take clothes out of the dryer and hang them up right away. I may take some items out early, I may take some items out slightly damp, etc. Being able to do all my dryer unloading "fiddling" without bending over is very convenient. CMC

Again, saying the "level" thing is no big deal other than nominal. From your post, you've clearly paid careful attention to that. You may safely remove it from your worries at this point. Your bearings are fine and will remain fine....unless you beat them to death....and probably even then. You don't need to get to the rear legs. A plane is defined by three points. Adjust the fourth -- one of the front legs -- to compliment/coincide -- is all that's left. The "foam trick" may well help. May even save the situation if nothing else works. On the other hand, you've got a a good, expensive, well-designed machine in place there. A machine that may not have been properly installed. A machine that may not be able to perform as it was designed because it's components may not be able bear as they were designed to do. Inasmuch as determining that takes a matter of minutes and very little skill, I would certainly start there. If that doesn't work in your stacked situation on your suspended floor, then I guess you'll have to do something else. Only saying unless this much is done first, neither you nor anyone else will know what you're actually dealing with. If you've done everything possible to allow the machine's suspension to do everything it's capable of doing -- which is a lot, by the way -- and it STILL is not satisfactory then that's where other considerations should begin. Stacking adds potential issues. Suspended flooring adds potential issues. Just suggesting one step at a time. Would be interested in learning your outcome if you would be so kind as to return and report.

SQ Home "soft mount" front loaders should never be confused with SQ hard mount commercial laundry equipment. They are two completely different equipment types with different mounting requirements. The new SQ home soft-mount has twin liquid balance rings with balancing weights moving around in those liquid rings. When the weights move around in the rings, they counteract some of the out of balance load that may be in your clothes load before those forces then pass through the shock absorbers, and ultimately to your floor. The result is the energy that would normally be produced as a load into the floor is internally offset, resulting in lower loads applied to the floor and overall smoother vibration. Remember, a soft-mount washer has shock absorbers, that when properly tuned, absorb about 85-90% of the load that would normally otherwise be transferred into the floor. So, to illustrate what ends up hitting your floor, let's assume that the SQ soft-mount FLW had 20 lbs of clothes in it, had a 20% off-balance, ran at 400G, and that the shocks could counter 90% of the vibration. And with no knowledge of what the SQ liquid rings can counteract, let's guess half of the off balance, or 10% and that machine capacity. Doing the math, 20 lb x 0.10 x 400 G = 800 lb before shocks; 80 lbs after shocks would actually hit your floor. Since the machine probably weighs 250 lbs, the oscillating load into the floor is not enough to lift the feet to move around in your laundry room. A SQ hard mount on the other hand has no internal suspension and therefore any produced out of balance loads are directed through a heavy gauge frame into the concrete floor it is bolted to. How big are these forces? Let's say you had a 20 lb model with that same 20% off balance load in the wash. The SQ hard mount units are rated to spin out to 200G extract force, the math (20 lb x 0.2 x 200 G) would say 800 lbs would be directed into the floor. Big difference between the two loads into the floor, and the SQ home soft mount spins out with twice the G force on top of that. Remember, the above examples are hypothetical to illustrate the differences between a hard mount and soft mount suspensions and the forces into the floor. The new SQ front load, with the combination of twin liquid balance rings and shock absorbers should give a good experience for the homeowner. These show up in laundromats and apartment buildings with high usage, way more cycles per day than a homeowner would ever put on one. Laundryvet

so i called lowes and mentioned the scratch and they offered me 15% off or a new machine. i took the 15% off...i don't know if they could have even ordered another one for me but i def wasn't going through another delivery process just bec of a scratch on the machine. i'm very happy with the 15% off. then i called the 3rd party delivery co's guy i had been dealing with all along...(way back i asked abt compensation for the hassle from lowes they said its the delivery company's responsibility so at the time i asked this guy i was dealing with and he said he def would be giving me something.) so i called and asked for compensation he said he'll get back to me...that he has to speak to lowes etc so i mentioned that i got the 15% from lowes for the scratch bec i never mentioned the scratch to him so i didnt' want him to be confused. and told him that when i asked lowes abt compensation for the hassle they said the delivery co is responsible. anyway he called back and offered $75 in lowes gift cards. I tried saying its so little, i'm getting that much back for a scratch and this was a huge hassle and totally avoidable had the delivery guys not dumped the machine and ran...if they would've just read the instructions they could have done it properly, and then on top of it they lost the feet etc that it was not a mistake, it was laziness and negligence etc...but he still said all he can do was $75 so i said fine... lol so assuming the above comes through it will cost me $356! still would not want the hassle of the feet, not worth the aggravation but the scratch is prob worth it ;) on a side note, when i called the delivery guy i've been dealing with extensivley, i introduced myself saying "hi, i'm the lady with the rubber feet" haha
