FL washer vibration and noise in upper floor laundry rooms

I was astounded by the substantial number of posts in the first few pages of this forum that dealt with vibration and noise problems with FL washers installed in upper floor, wood supported laundry rooms.

I stumbled onto vibration/noise isolation pads called keshakeaway at my local appliance parts distributor. I know of several people who have installed the pads and been amazed with the difference in vibration and noise levels. I also found out that they do not stop the machine from vibrating, but eliminate/reduce the transfer of that energy to the support floor.

One woman I know said it sounded like a Sikorsky helicopter hovering in her second laundry room before she installed the pads. When I move my laundry room upstairs from the basement to my main floor next year, you can bet I'll have these pads installed.
