When you're feeling lower than a snake's belly and it's hard enough to muster the courage to post a plea for good vibes, I know that it can feel awful to not see responses immediately. Please don't take it personally. Like Roselvr with her dd's wisdom teeth, lots of regular posters may have been away from the forum this morning and just didn't see your OP. I don't post often, but felt compelled to log in after seeing your second post. I was at physical therapy earlier (ouch! can't take pain meds and drive, so had to wait until I returned home and then I raced for that medicine bottle like a junkie.)

Whatever is going on, you will find a way to get through it. You'll be surprised at how strong you really are and how much you can take without losing hope. Help may come from those you least expect to lend a hand. You may find that brainstorming about your troubles with someone close to you will help you to find solutions you'd never considered. Or if solutions cannot be found, you'll find the strength to endure what now may seem unbearable. Meanwhile, be good to yourself. Try to get extra sleep, treat yourself to some dark chocolate (if you can) and grab a few minutes to relax in the sun whenever possible.

Blessings to you, dixiedo. These are certainly hard times, aren't they? Please know you're not alone.

Sending lots of POSITIVE VIBES your way! Life is like a roller coaster- it is always the downs that seem so low. When you wake up each morning make a list of maybe just think on One thing you are grateful for and keep it in your mind throughout the day. Next day think of something different. I will keep you in my prayers.

When things get so difficult that I feel I just can't cope, I try to remember "This too shall pass".

One of life's tried and true lessons is that out of adversity, we find strenth. I've always learned more from my hard times than my easier ones.

If it helps at all, just know you're not alone here...golddust was nice enough to post a celebration post of my first anniversary of surviving a heart attack, for Pete's sake, and basically only amy and maybe someone else posted. Like giving a thread and no one came.

But I will not be that way to you, dixie -- I sincerely hope you find your feet under you soon and can surf the raging waves...the storm *will* pass.

Count me in on the prayers for you, dixiedo. And remember all those lurkers who send their positive thoughts your way, but don't necessarily post to the thread.

I know that sometimes, when someone comes here for support, I can't always muster what I think are appropriate words to put out there for all to see. But, even if I'm feeling like my own situation keeps me from communicating, I will hold that person in my thoughts.

There is something to be learned in everything the universe delivers us. When I am struggling and no one "shows up" for me, I try to remember that do I have all the strength I need. I don't think we're ever handed anything beyond our abilities.

To expand on postum's wonderful advice to breathe:

Go buy yourself a kid's container of bubbles and then once a day go outside and blow some bubbles. It is so relaxing. You can't hold your breath, something we all tend to do when stressed, and blow bubbles at the same time.

First, it makes you inhale and then peacefully exhale. Second, the bubbles are so beautiful to see. Their iridescence is lovely. The way they gently float away or, better still, get caught on a draft of air is just so entrancing. Even the child like nature of the activity is calming.

Go blow bubbles. If you have kids, buy them their own bottles. Everyone should have them.

Hang in there and take it one day, one hour, one minute at a time.

Sometimes a poster, usually a lurker. Though it doesn't always feel you can get through another day, you do. Find something positive to do about the situation, no matter how small, and you will begin to move forward.
