Wheat storage question for Grainlady

Grainlady, you're going to think I'm a bit weird(and I may be)but I have two 5gal buckets of wheat(hard spring if I recall)that are 12...yes 12 years old(remember Y2...well, you know). They have been in an uninsulated storage unit, with very high and very low(below zero)temps all this time. We did add oxygen absorbers when the buckets were packed. They've never been opened.

What are the chances the wheat is still good? Would it be obvious once un-lidded? Would it smell or look funky? If it looked ok could it still be 'bad'? The only shelf life info I've been able to find relates to optimal storage conditions which this definitely is not. I thought if anyone knew, it would be you. I greatly appreciate any response.
