I love useful tips like that Flamey and it's a very good idea. We have our spares in a cabinet right next to the toidie, but it would still be nice to see them wrapped pretty.

I'll have to give a little thought about adding a tip. I have some, I'm just stumped right now.

Beats setting a new roll out, when the present one gets low. Well, not beats it, but makes it look nicer.

If you didn't get around to buying a 2008 calendar yet, just flip your 2007 calendar to May, which started on a Tuesday and has 31 days, just like January 2008.

Also, go through your checkbook and write "08" in the date spot on a couple dozen of the checks, so you don't put 2007 by mistake until you get used to writing 2008. I write only a few checks each year, so I don't put 08 on very many of them. :)

I've already shared this one with Flamey.

We eat a lot of Old Fashion Quaker oatmeal around here and I like to make the packets up a head of time. That way, all I have to do is put it in a bowl with the correct amount of water and microwave it. It cuts preparing time in half. I make up some seperate packets with cinnamon then either walnuts, pecans, raisins, dried apricots, etc. and a touch of brown sugar. You can use any dried fruits you like. Sometimes, I will just make the packets with nothing but cinnamon then before I microwave them, I will cut up bites of canned peaches to put in the oatmeal. Mmmmm, add a pat of butter and it tastes like peach cobbler.

I keep a few garbage bags in the bottom of each wastebasket. When I pull out the full one, I can quickly put in the fresh one, as it is already right there.

Good idea Flamey, here's my tip for the day, don't eat a juicy bread and butter pickle at the computer, it dripped on my....er it will drip on the keyboard and make typing kind of sticky. ;0)

Oh alright here's a real tip, I always put soap into my dishwasher when I don't have a full load (and while waiting to fill it up before washing them), that way I know if the dishes have been washed or not, no guessing if they are clean or dirty - soap in the door means dirty dishes. :0)

DH and i do a lot of gardening,so every time we eat a banana i take the peelings,tear it into strips and throw them down around my rose bushes.It keeps white flies and aphids away.

Read this about 4 years ago and have been doing it every since with very good results.

Okay. That's not a real original tip but come one! You have to admit it's a good one!

In addition to putting extra liners in a garbage can, spritz a small amount of chlorox water in the liner you just put in the can. This cuts down odor causing bacteria.

Here's my tips. Find something to laugh each day. It'd turn your white hair back to dark & erase wrinkles from your face ;o) Most of all, it'd add years to your life!

Flue & cold season is around. If, unfortunately, you get it, stop taking daily vitamins except for vitamins C. Daily vitamins & minerals will strengthen your cold or flue. On the other hand, during the illness, take at least 1000 mg of vitamin C to ease the symptoms. Reduce the dosage to daily recommended dosage as you get over it.
