changing entire HVAC...oil or propane??

Currently have oil heat (forced air) and electric hot water. Everything is old and needs to be replaced. Natural gas is not available in my neighborhood.

Option 1: Put in a new oil furnace (83% efficiency). Also replacing A/C unit with an 3.5 ton Amana 13 seer condenser. Cost $6900.

Option 2. Put in Amana gas furnace (propane..96% efficiency). Replace A/C with the one mentioned above. Cost $7,100.

So the cost is about the same for both. I've never used propane before. What do you all recommend. I live in NH...1900 square foot, 2 story home.

Also, looking to replace our electric hot water heater. Thinking about a Rinnai tankless for $2400. Is it worth it??

Thanks!!
