Hey, Sue! Enjoying the dogs, huh? We got 2 or 3 inches of heavy, wet snow this morning, and it's slippery because the temp is right around 30. Hubby's still sleeping, son's home from work and gone to bed, I just put a meatloaf in the oven. Anticipating a nice, quiet day.

It's sunny, cool, and pretty out. To bad, I still feel crappy, or I would go for a bike ride.

It's a beautiful spring-like day here which is actually depressing me. I was trying to hibernate through winter and winter won't come! It's lonely without the boys here (they're with their dad this weekend). I was okay this morning since I hit the gym, got highlights and did some shopping but then all I had left to do was come home and clean. I'm going to run out to the store now and then come home and read a bit.

It's 37 degrees here, cloudy, supposed to rain tonight. I'm doing nothing in particular today, just sitting by the fire, might take a nap.

A bit hectic.

It's a gorgeous day--warm enough that I left my jacket in the car when we went shopping (even though we had to walk in from the back of the lot.)

So, anyway... Up early to tear around the house getting it ready for our open house this afternoon. DD came over to help clean and 'stage' the place. We had a big platter of cookies in the kitchen, hot cider on the range, scenting the house. Real estate agent got here about quarter to 12, and by 12:02 we had our first looker--we hadn't even gotten out the door, ourselves.

We went out to lunch, then did some shopping while our real estate agent worked hard for us. We did pop home for a moment to leave off our leftovers, and the place was buzzing. All in all, he had 8 parties go through in 3 hours. GREAT turnout! That's more than twice as many lookers that went through in 6 months with our first agent. Not expecting miracles, but at least this guy's getting folks in the door. At least a couple of them did seem fairly interested. Fingers crossed that something comes of this.

azzalea, hope you got who you needed in today. It only takes one but what a drama. Eh?

I always am up at the latest by 6:00 am. Mostly at 4:30am and if I haven't taken care of everything including my shower and hair drying by 11:00 then I am un motivated to leave my home. All the "others" are out there ahead of me and I give up. So sad. My neighbors know my pattern and have me cornered and that's OK too. So stayed in, when the weather is lovely.

DH & I went to a thrift store early in the day, Got 2 great deals, a book & a carry on piece of luggage that is a match to the 2 pieces we already owned. :0) COOL! The book was $2, the luggage was $4....but here are the links for what they retailed for new.....

I have an expensive horse vet coming for my mare tomorrow. Off and on - mostly on - lameness.
Been treating her by soaking her foot and giving her antibiotics.
Somehow today my (late) mom's watch I was wearing came up with a cracked crystal. It's just a Timex, but she died with it on and I broke it :( I had people around me or I would have bawled like a baby.
To top it all - almost - I have a redirect virus in my computer.
Some days I feel like a bad luck magnet...

It snowed here tonight as well, we were not expecting it! Have some equipment that my hubby is taking to his office tomorrow, we loaded it into the mini cooper, which won't work if there is snow on the ground!

Spent the day trying to get caught up, I've been chasing my tail all week. But the end is in sight, my boss just hired me, or actually told me to hire, an assistant! So I was on the phone with him yesterday and today, and getting his material together so he can start next week.

I'm sorry you had such a crummy day, kathy. Hang in there--it has to get better! And I think you could get a new crystal for your watch at a repair shop. I would have bawled with people around me anyway. I hope you feel much better tomorrow.

We have had unseasonably warm weather here in Southern California this past few days. I pruned the little, scraggly fuschia on the patio. Next week I will prune the fuschias along the side of the house and the potato vine standard in the front planter. The chance of frost is over for the winter.

Crummy doesn't begin to cover it.

I am not a winter person. Sooo I will be estatic when spring is here. I ache all over til winter gets out of here. Today???? I am a aching, and badly~~~ Yeah, I am a complaing...what a grouch!

There is some snow here, which is shame because I wanted to go for a walk. I went on the treadmill instead. I'm making cookies, and icing for a cake I'm doing this week for my friend who is leaving our department for another job. I'm also going to work on some gum paste flowers for another cake. I've been in and out of the greenhouse as well- the temperature is wonderful in there, and it's nice and sunny.
