Got 4 new tires on the back of the motor home this morning. The front ones were put on a couple of weeks ago.

Walked the mall with my friend for an hour this morning. Came home and have done 2 loads of laundry. Will be going to the commissary to get a few things. Will also stop at a couple of places and pay ahead for bills that will be due while we are gone on vacation.

Our weather is gorgeous, lots of sunshine and a slight breeze. Supposed to reach 86 degrees this afternoon with 12% humidity.

It's raining here. Realize, I am not complaining... just stating fact.

As a matter of fact, I rode my bike to work even though I knew, it would be raining.

Now, I am showered, and clean... and about to go out in my car to take care of a couple of errands.

So far, my day has been easy. Work, and now, play. :)

Great day! Great day indeed!

My brother just told me that my 44 year old SIL, who was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer of the lymph nodes, bone and lungs Christmas of 2010 showed no indication of cancer in a PET scan today! I am so thrilled.

She went through surgery, chemo and radiation in the last few months. Lost three pant sizes but no hair. I'd never be that lucky. :-)

City-wide garage sales today....I'm tired!! I don't pick up much for myself as I have to much carp already. What I look for are sheets for our church quilting (I also use that as an excuse to go!), and I found about ten nice ones. I did get a new-in package faucet aerator for only a buck. Mine is spraying in all directions, so now have to see if I can get it on.

Went into town with DH to pick up a new electric toothbrush and my old one just broke. But then two days ago, the faucet on the kitchen sink broke and we had to replace that and I had to clean up the basement where it had leaked into it and removed about 2 gallons of water, and threw out several cardboard boxes that got wet--nothing damaged. Took 7 Buffalo rib eye steaks out of my freezer so we could have them Sunday for a family bar-b-que along with the giant shrimp. DD will marinate steaks, shrimp will be thawed out Sun. morning. Got car washed and found out it really is dark beige. May make cookies later.

It's been a nice day out, 87 right now. I got a few things done but nothing to brag about. Just getting through the day is a major accomplishment.

beautiful day here also, in the 80's today. I have been assembling some new glass totems. I am making some to give as gifts to friends. I just finished one that is really pretty that I will be giving to my neighbor who took me shopping for the glass.Seeing a new one come together is so much fun almost like putting a jigsaw puzzle together.

I watched dragonflies dancing in the atrium there must have been 20 or more in there at one time. I guess they like all the pretty flowers too.

After I got my morning work done, I went to my little, teeny, grocery store about 5 miles from me to get some ground meat. I can't stand the taste of grocery store ground beef, so I spend a little more money and order it from this place, and get extra lean. I also got some ground pork too. Even though I've never asked, he always grinds it lean too.

I had some other errands to run. Stopped into DQ and got some of their specials. Had one of their chili cheese dogs for lunch.

Then this afternoon, I had a chiro appt.

This morning I met a friend at the beauty salon and held her almost 3 month old DD while mom got her hair cut. Afterwards we went out to lunch.
Later Finn came over for an hour and a half. I took him for a walk in his stroller.
Our weather is just beautiful. It was 80 today with a slight breeze.
Tomorrow I have 2 graduation parties to attend. Kids graduating from high school.

Had a great day today! Our daughter, who has been on life support all week do to a UTI that turned into a blood infection and septic shock, woke up today. Still a long road ahead, but she's awake and breathing on her own, so for now, we are celebrating that!

Elisabeth, what wonderful news. Your day was better than all the rest put together. I am very happy for you. Really, really happy for you and your family.

Today was kind of crazy here. First I had the air conditioner tuned up. I bought a Groupon for $34 to pay for it. He showed up an hour early, so that was the end of my lazy morning. Of course, he discovered that the motor needs to be replaced for $1200! He said it can wait for awhile, and it will.

I started cleaning the carport when the phone rang and the roofer was calling to say the dumpster was on its way. Yikes. Now I have a big dumpster sitting in the driveway. Work starts Monday. I am dreading it.

My son came over and cut the grass for me, bless his heart.

I called the dermatologist and changed my appointment. Too much going on at once here.

Then I finished cleaning the carport and it looks pretty good for the moment.

Now I am going to go read my book in bed and fall asleep!

elisabeth rose: You are right...that is definitely cause for celebration! I have certainly read about those life-threatening results of a UTI, but have never heard of it actually happening to anyone. My son had sepsis along with meningitis when he was small - so very scary.

I am so glad you have had wonderful news Elizabeth and Jodi! It is so good to hear of good things happening.

I'm doing okay :)after what started out as a cold morning, it's now sunny and 70 something. I've got a lot to do today but decided to read here a bit and have a cup of coffee.Then back to work. Will be reading or watching a movie tonight.
