I would think, for those harboring long time resentments or bad memories of parents, that it would take more than some sort of proclaimed day to go through what it takes to be able to forgive.

All parents make mistakes, babies after all do not come with instructions, but some 'mistakes' have long lasting damage that is not easily repaired.

If we could only go back in time!!!! I hope to not make some of the mistakes with my children and grandkids/great GK that I feel my mom made with myself and my brother. My MIL was great and treated all of us the same. I do really miss her!!!!
