I watched this a few times and it made me cry each time.THEN....we went to a store today and it just so happened that the Humane Society had dogs there..Needless to say we came home with not a Cooper but a Shadow.He's a 1 1/2 yr old Brindle boxer.On the small side for a boxer.They said he likes water and I guess he does,he already went swimming in my pond! LOL! I'll try to get pics tomorrow.He's a sweetie so far,housebroken,microchipped,neutered,has all his shots.He's learning to use the doggie door,even though he has to scrooch down a little bit! LOL!I'm not crazy about his name,but he knows it,so we'll keep it I guess.

I love how they make biochar, it's an open-pit, burn stuff in there, then STOP the burning process by throwing dirt & water on top. Half-burnt stuff is less alkaline that ashes, which is extremely caustic to plants with pH over 12. I got some ashes from a fireplace, and had to wash my hands immediately, it's caustic to my skin. eHow described it as: " Use a shovel to cover the burning plant material with about 1 inch of soil when you see the smoke is grayish-blue. This layer slows the burning material to smoldering by reducing the oxygen and creates the charcoal. Douse the smoldering fire with water when you see the plant material has turned into charcoal chunks. Completely douse and put out the fire at this point. Allowing the plant material to continue burning will turn it into ash, defeating the purpose of introducing biochar into your soil. Amend your garden soil using the biochar and compost. I think if you don't get a touch of chills or tap your toes to this... ya better check your pulse! Have seen this a LOT of times and it just gets better. Pretty sure every single movie was "before my time" and can't get over how perfectly the dance of old movies and the music of today mesh! Good video to watch when you need a little inspiration!

We love fondant!! Maybe we have a better recipe....but that cake was more cake than frosting..so I doubt anyone ate it. It was for display only. There would be no way to cut/serve appetizing portions. My mom was a cake decorator--amateur for her families special occasions and she had a basket weave technique--no fondant-- that looked as good but would have taken 1/4 of the time, I am guessing. Still very impressive work!!

I actually laughed out loud! I loved it when he tunneled under the snow. My dog hates snow, but we have only had a slight amount once in her life. She didn't know what the stuff was or how to walk on it.

And he's such a camera ham! Playing tricks on the camera and always making sure he was being recorded. "Is it still rolling" "Okay, I'll do this now." "Can it find me?"

He sure does love the snow. He doesn't have much hair to keep him warm. He makes me cold to watch him. LOL I've never been in snow that deep.
