They just closed the canal here Anne. So no more waiting for bridges, no more bridge sirens and ship horns for awhile! There had been quite a bit of ship traffic lately while they all rushed to get through the canal before it closed. Now it looks like a big ditch!

That little face and head looks just like my Izzy! She was suppose to be a Chihuahua but I knew when I saw her that she wasn't full blood! She is black and has the body of a large Chi but the face and ears of a Doxie.We love her anyway.Her favorite toy is an empty water bottle.She will grab it and throw it over her head and catch it.She can open the lid even when DH tightens it as tight as possible.She will work on it until she gets it open.Elvira is adorable.

there are various places that have volume controls and mute controls on the actual video there is a speaker icon that you can slide up and down and mute and also in the bottom right corner of your computer is your volume control for your pc it is a little speaker icon if you click on it you can get into the settings for it and check that all sliders are all the way up and nothing is muted there are several sliders to check. Sometimes the mute gets turned on by accident. do you have sound on other things besides just video, can you play music on it? can you hear anything? it could be only video related or it could be overall volume. Try different things to see if you are hearing sound at all. I personally prefer VLC player which is free and plays most all formats. Granny, Mimi is right, the treats are going to be his motivation to do a good job for you. A tiny bit of peanut butter, yogurt or pumpkin on a spoon is a great suggestion, even a couple of pieces of his kibble (if he enjoys it) would be good but for the training to work, he needs to get rewards. If you watch the video again, you can see the guy has a little pouch on his side that he uses to keep the treats in and every time the dog retreats and waits or is walking well he gets a treat. When it comes to his training, it may be easier to focus on one thing at a time. If dropping the treat to the floor is the easiest way for you to reward him, then do that. Besides, once he learns to focus on you while he walks (which the treats will help with) he won't have his nose to the ground anymore. You just have to reward him with something he's really excited about! I'm sorry, but I don't recall if you've been able to participate in any training classes with him yet? If not, is it possible for you to do that? Ellie was a real handful for us so I actually worked with her at a couple of different places. The first was a more expensive privately owned school, the other was Petsmart!! I was so surprised but we actually got more out of the Petsmart classes than the privately owned ones. The techniques were similar to Cesars too, and were all puppy friendly and treat based. She's wearing the cap, but I learned so much!!!
