Well I can participate in this one.
I always have a fruit bowl available to the boys. Apples, bananas and oranges mostly. Then seasonal fruits come into play as well.

For another quick snack. Frigo Mozzarella Cheese sticks.

I also package up Annie's Bunny Crackers and Cheese Curls(a cheeto type thing Costco started carrying) in portion control sizes and have a box in the pantry for my boys to grab.

I also usually have cookies in the cookie jar. Homemade with extra "stuff" to make them a bit more protein heavy and whole grain heavy.

Roll-ups - 1 thin slice of deli turkey or ham, 1 thin slice of deli cheese, cheddar, Swiss, havarti, munster, whatever you like. Lay the cheese slice on top of the meat slice, roll up from the shorter edge to a "cigar" shape. You can slice them in medium slices if you want finger food pieces. And low carb too!

Quick Nachos - lay out round tortilla chips on an oven proof plate, having the chips touch each other covering up the surface of the plate beneath; spoon on dollops of refried beans or bean dip, pickled jalapeno slices (drained), sliced green onions, sprinkle with cheddar cheese on top. Bake at 375 F until the cheese melts and bubbles, then spoon on dollops of salsa and sour cream. Cool a little then serve warm.

A jar of nutella and pretzel rods. Say no more.

With 2 boys I have lotsa snax on the go - granola bars, beef jerky, cheese stix, yogurt 'shots', filled cracker packs, every kind of nuts, mini bagels, grapes, apples, seasonal fruit, breadstix, cereal, pop tarts - what ever is the best nutritional fit for where they're going next is the item I grab!

FAvorite at home snack - chips and peach mango salsa.

I almost always have fresh fruit on hand. I make beef jerky to keep around for quick, take-with snacks. Crackers, peanut butter and cheese are always available. I keep a few empty bottled water bottles around so I can take a bottle of milk with me to work...one of my favorite snacks. I also keep a variety of nuts and dried fruits on hand.

I always have a stalk of celery with some Laughing Cow Cheese on it.
Fruit or maybe a cheese stick or some type of nuts, walnuts, almonds etc.

ummmmm, Sharon, you are on the right track. I love hummus with anything. I always have some homemade hummus in the fridge.

I also include, carrot sticks, celery sticks (boring, I know), pretzels with peanut butter dip... just a little peanut butter... apples, wheat thins with a *little* soft cheese. My personal weakness is homemade bread, butter and cheese. At all cost I try to stay away from it...I may just die eating this as my last meal.

Cheese and an apple...or celery or crackers....but cheese is tbe mainstay.
If I have thought ahead, a hardboiled egg may be included.

I keep homemade trail mix around as a staple that includes granola clusters (homemade), almonds, pistachios, mini-pretzel sticks, coconut shavings, & some type of dried fruit.

Also enjoy cheese/crackers and the old standard of apple slices/cheddar.

Fresh fruit is almost always available. I'm eating a fresh pear & a couple clementines almost every day now...they've both been especially good this year.

In the summer, I keep a chunky watermelon/cucumber salsa type thing in the fridge that I enjoy by itself.

The current fav here is a bowl of hummus with anything that can be dipped into it! Pretzel rods, pita chips, celery sticks and even fingers if no one is watching the 7 yo LOL!

Other stuff is goldfish, sunkist fruit chews, fresh fruit, nuts, cheese sticks, yogurt, etc. And peanut butter is still high on the list! The guys like to dip a lot of the same stuff into peanut butter that they dip in the hummus.

Add me to the list of hummus eaters, and my favorite dipper is celery but pretzels are good too.

I also like peanut butter and raisins on a celery stick, my girls called it "Ants on a Log". I nearly always have fresh fruit and homemade yogurt available, if I want it sweet I add a drizzle of honey or maple syrup.

Peanut butter is also good for crackers and with my "girls" doing such a good job I've always got eggs. Ashley will put an egg in the microwave and then make a sandwich with an English Muffin and a slice of cheese but it only takes maybe two minutes to make a scrambled egg on the stove.

I try to never buy prepackaged snacks like chips because I'll eat them and they are not a healthy choice being mostly high in fat and salt. The same thing goes for canned soup, which I put in the freezer in small containers so we can quickly thaw one. I do buy microwave popcorn and the grandkids like nutella on graham crackers or a bit of pizza sauce and a sprinkle of cheese on a english muffin.

I always roast big pans full of vegetables and have them in the refrigerator so if I'm really hungry, I can put some in the microwave and have a more substantial snack. I like vegetables far more than I like fruit.

Oh, and I always bake my own cookies, muffins, cupcakes, etc.

Oh, and I forgot something I'm "famous" for. My salsa, LOL.

Ashley will roll that egg up in a tortilla with some salsa, she eats salsa with tortilla chips, and Elery likes a hard boiled egg, remove the yolk and fill the white with salsa, like a deviled egg, but not.

Frozen red grapes. I buy several pounds at a time, rinse them off and freeze them. I eat handsful all the time. They are sweet, juicy and even satisfy the urge to chew on something. I love them.

Lately, my favorite snack has been roasted chickpeas/garbanzo beans.

They kind of remind me of Corn Nuts, but not so crown-shatteringly hard. I'm more of a "crunchy" kind of snack person, so they're really great in that department, plus they're healthy and cheap!

I take 2 cans, drain them, toss them with 2 T of olive oil, then spread them on a cookie sheet. Preheat oven to 350°, then shake whatever kind of seasoning you like over the beans. I like garlic powder, salt & pepper, with a sprinkle of cayenne. Bake till they are hard & crunchy (about 45 min to 1 hour), shaking the pan about every 20 min. so they cook evenly.

It used to be pretzels or cookies, but I'm really trying to avoid all wheat, so I eat more fruit! If I'm hungry and not just munchie I'll choose almond butter on a rice cake, a small piece of cheese or a piece of deli turkey or ham. If I have cut up fruit, I will grab a piece of that too.

Nuts, hummus, crackers. Fruit, fresh & dried, veggie snacks.
If and when I make cookies it is the first thing we go for until they are gone. Oh, toast from whole wheat cranberry walnut bread till it's gone.

My favorite snack is fruit. Usually seasonal fresh fruits. I'll often cut the fruit up into a bowl and sprinkle with Rice Krispies adding a little milk and sugar. Just bought some Truvia and I like that instead of the sugar as a way to cut down calories.

Another favorite quickie is to spread a little cream cheese on a tortilla, sprinkle with ranch dressing (dry), then lay on a piece of deli meat. Roll it up and munch away.

My really bad but good snack, peanut butter Ritz Bits dipped in jam. I wish I had never tried that one!

I think my favorite all time quick and easy snack is popcorn. We usually pop it ourselves and then sprinkle with things like....old bay seasoning, parmesan cheese, taco seasoning, chili seasoning, pizza seasoning ect...Then there is always good ole "I can't beleive its not butter" spray!!

I've learned to stay away from chips. They are none of the above and it's hard to stop before the bag is empty.

Baby carrots dipped in roasted red pepper hummus and popcorn I pop fresh (Not hot air popped or microwave.)And fruit. I'm partial to fresh pineapple these days. I peel, cut and cube it and keep it in containers in the fridge.

I love Nutella spread on fruit, but I cannot trust myself to keep it in the house. I will begin eating it on fruit and then regress to eating it with a spoon out of the jar until it is gone.

Marinated cheese
2 pkg cheese cubes
1/2 cup olive oil
3 tablespoons finely chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley *I use 1 tsp dried parsley
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper

. Whisk together 1/2 cup olive oil, chopped parsley, and next 6 ingredients; pour evenly over cheese cubes. Cover and chill at least 8 hours or up to 24 hours. Let come to room temperature before serving, and drain.

**I've even done this with olives

Fast and easy and satisfying: bread without butter but with a small sprinkle of cinnamon, nutmeg, and sugar; a rolled up lettuce leaf with annie's terrific salsa in the middle; toasted pecans with teeny bit of cayenne pepper and kosher salt; whole dill pickles, bok choy, carrot and celery sticks - always in the fridge; freshly popped corn 3 nights a week; leftover cold pizza.

Decadent and good for the soul - but not for the hips: warmed giant blueberry muffin; sugar cookies; a handful of chocolate chips; soft biscotti (mandelbrot); cheddar cheese fingers dipped in homemade jam; toasted pine nuts on Swiss cheese fingers; crackers with anything on top; and my all time favorite - pretzels or bread sticks dipped in microwaved cheddar and jack cheese with a dab of mustard.

I don't know about you but I find I snack more in the winter - maybe from boredom, and eat those that are mostly the hip size additions like the above. In the summer there are plenty of veggies, fruits, and tomatoes to snack on right outside my door and I don't crave as many sweets except for sweet iced tea because it is required in the South.

I don't buy any prepackaged snacks - too many chemical preservatives, corn syrup, and heavy doses of salt. I make my own crackers, pretzels, and breads for the same reason (but I do also buy some), plus homemade jams and reduced salt pickles. Before I retired I was snickered about because I'd pull out some cheese and crackers or a pile of carrot sticks and a dill pickle for snacks at my desk where they'd munch on a bag of potato chips or candy bars from the vending machine. It took a little effort to package snacks from home instead of from the machine, but I'd make up enough baggies for a couple of weeks in about 10 minutes, plus - I saved a huge ton of money over the years. I still do crave candy bars though and that treat is what I get for my birthday instead of a cake. In my 20's I'd eat two or three a day!

Cinnamon Tortilla Crisps
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
8 8 inch flour tortillas
6 tablespoons butter, melted
In a small bowl combine sugar and cinnamon, set aside.
Brush tortillas with melted butter. Cut each into 8 wedges.
Arrange in single layer on baking sheet. Lightly sprinkle cinnamon mixture over.Bake in preheated 400F oven for 4 to 6 minutes. Serve with fruit salsa (chopped fruit with a tablespoon of jam stirred in) or yogurt and fruit.

Apples filled with peanut butter or cheez whiz-core an apple and fill centre with pb or cw and slice into circles.
