With all this talk about sriracha lately I bought a bottle. I recognized both the bottle and the flavor, just never put a name to it before. Anyway I love it and have been pouring it all over everything. Until now.
I just happened to look at the nutrition label - 2500mg sodium per TEASPOON!!! Yikes - that's more sodium than in a teaspoon of salt! Doesn't make sense to me somehow, it doesn't taste that salty to me.
Oh well, back to Tabasco (30mg) or Frank's (200mg) unless there's a "better" brand out there? Mine is Roland's. Unfortunately sodium is one of the things I've been advised to watch in my diet.
