elery will be here tonight and the weekend is supposed to be nice, so we'll be replacing fence posts and repairing fence.

That's as far as I've gotten in my weekend plans, LOL, but I'm sure something will come up.

Who would have thought I'd be checking in today with no baby news to report? Not me!!

Just spoke w/DD who is doing well. If she doesn't go this weekend, she has an appt. scheduled for an ultrasound, etc. for Monday. They will induce if things don't proceed naturally this coming week.

For the first time since 2001, our team(UNH)did not make the Hockey East Finals, which are being played in Boston tonight and tomorrow. We had purchased tickets long ago, so DH & I will drive in to watch those games......unless we get the call we're all waiting for, in which case we'll high tail it back home.

No big plans here, having friends over for dinner tomorrow night. It's been awhile since seeing them so it will be nice to catch up. If I can finish cleaning today, I can spend all day in the kitchen making a nice dinner.
Sunday I have no plans at all!

Somewhere in between a manicure, clothes shopping (I desperately need a few new clothes in a smaller size!) and possibly car shopping for DH on Sunday. A jam packed, but not stressful weekend! Today was a departure as I was asked to attend a training session on the new fangled lottery machines the commonwealth is installing. Now usually I do not work on Fridays as its my day with mom but since our big blow up a few monyhs ago I have been taking more time to myself....mother is not at all happy about it but she is never gonna change so I may as well take advatage of a little me time before I check out.

It was fun...I went with a co worker who is really cool so we had fun.

Later today I have a new realtor coming out to talk...hmmmm we'll see....hope he has better news for us.

Tomorrow I have to work but Amy should be coming home as my sons school hockey team is playing in the all city Flyers Cup...basically the best Catholic team plays the best public team. So a lot of the boys from my job either go to Father Judge or play so my 2 kids will be going to the game.

Sunday I should be off and I believe Shanen has some home lined up for us to look at....we'll prob have dinner out too.

Before we leave this house I want to have one more hoorah so I want to plan a game night in my new yet unused game room...I have over 50 board games to play, put out some cool munchies and drinks and just have fun....I will try to plan for that in a few weeks but I will start the food and drink planning this weekend.

On another note Wed the 25th is DD 20th Birthday!!!
And on Mon the 23rd marks the one year anniversary of Stephen and Charles horrific accident...can you believe it already been a year???

So I am clinking with water for now....have a wonderful weekend!!

Spring arrived this morning during my Pilates class so we all applauded to welcome the new season. Then we had coffee outside on the balcony and I walked home. Had some leftover pesto meatballs and vegetables so just reheated lunch for today. I'm doing an little interview for another restaurant writeup for this weekend. Then hope to walk around the neighbourhood and up a hill or two for some cardio exercise. A bit of grocery shopping later and then spending the weekend sleeping and doing the laundry.
At least it's sunny now so can dry clothes outdoors.

I'll be working some overtime Saturday. One of my product lines is still moving faster then we can make them. The one person still working under me, my former supervisor, wants the time but I have some big bills this month. Most of my taxes and insurance hit in the spring so I don't have much choice. Spent my cash cushion on a couple new teeth at the first of the month so I'm a working fool again.... with better teeth. Sunday I'm driving a friend home to PH. She has been hiding after a violent crime put another friend in a hospital burn unit. Her son is due in court today on felony charges and he is a primary suspect in this month's terror. Poor gal is hoping his bail in not so high she can't spring him. Think they are hinting they want me to chip in but I'm not feeling much like putting up the cash. Way to much drama for me so I'm looking to distance myself from the stituation.

Lots of work followed by lots of stress. You bet I'll be having a drink or two. Half a quart of good scotch calling my name... so tempted to just call in sick and hide under a blanket with my cats.

I played Euchre this morning for the first time. I was a lot of fun. This evening my son will be home for spring break which means I won't have the car much of next week, I already gave him a list of times I need the car. Unfortuntely my spring allergies started already! They were doing some controlled burning in my area the past two days and I couldn't stay outside at all! Yesterday there were bits of ash falling from the sky, yuck. Not good for people with allergies, or people with asthma either.

Tomorrow we are starting to plan our outside work for the summer which includes getting our new deck stained and relandscaping as much of our property as we can afford. Should be fun.

Celebrating my daughter's 19th birthday this weekend. That's about it for me! My niece is expecting and we're putting together a scrap book for her baby shower on April 18th so every weekend besides this one because of the birthday has been devoted to getting that done. And I need to get it done because I have to get outside in the garden soon! My lettuce and spinach seedlings are starting to poke thru so I have to get the garden ready to get them transplanted in the ground! If only the ground would thaw out!!

Sounds like some fun & some chores happening this weekend.

I just got off the phone with our REALTOR changing a scheduled showing from Sun. to Sat. I previewed the house yesterday & liked it well enough to drag DH this weekend. But, I forgot that Sunday is Mystic's St. Patrick's Day Parade. The website says they're planning for & expecting 50,000 people!! Yikes! The parade route goes 1/2 block from our property so the police will yellow tape us off early in the morning. If we leave they don't allow us back in until after the parade & the people clear out. Can't believe I forgot to get the 2009 parade schedule on the fridge door!

Other than the showing & parade it's going to be a quiet weekend here. No plans. Hopefully, we can get out in the garden a bit on Sunday since we'll be trapped on the penninsula.

Just have a few dogs here this weekend, which is not unusual :-) but plan on going out to eat with some friends tomorrow. They are somewhat vegans, so my plan for the steakhouse is out LOL. Might try to go for Mexican or whatever they are in the mood for. Other than that not much happening. My neighbor across the street is in ICU for a blockage in her brain, so I hope to hear some good news so I can visit. She is such a nice lady, I think 77 years old, but a real sweetie. I hope she recovers.

A routine weekend here - ping pong, wash the car, walk the dog, self-pedicure, Starbucks, LOL.

Duane, two of my elderly neighbors have died the last 2 months. Sobering and hopeful at the same time. One 85-year-old woman was very active, lived independently in her 3-story townhome 2 doors down from mine, drove her car, was active in our Homeowners association, entertained, etc. Her mind was still spry as anyone's. Her heart just gave out one evening. I hope I am as vertical and lucid when/if I reach 85. The other death was a man who had had a long descent into becoming a physical invalid. He decided he had enough and he went a few months after his beloved dog was put down.

On the ping pong front, I am very happy with my progress - I've added a couple of good shots to my repertoire that are difficult to return, including a killer backhand underspin. I am very happy with my coach for training me well on these moves.

On the Pilates front, I quit my bi-weekly classes to concentrate more on ping pong, then bought a home Pilates machine that I like very much. Now I can use it every day whenever I want.

Happy Spring, all! I can actually see a little bare ground and it's supposed to hit 50F tomorrow. It's been a loooong winter.

We wound up at the mall today, since we had time to kill before an appointment and DH needed to go somewhere not-icy to walk. I found not one, but two $200 wool coats at $30 ea. That never happens.

Tomorrow is work. We get busier the worse our poor little local economy gets. Families are looking for free resources....circulation is up, computers are always busy, kids' programs are booming, I'm setting up gardening, food preservation classes (the Extension Educator is afraid of pressure canners so guess who gets to do that one, lol).

It's sad in a way, but the silver lining is that we're seeing lots of young parents shakin' maracas to "If You're Happy and You Know It" and glitter-covered dads making valentines with their little girls.

After work I volunteered to clean up after a Lioness 'Pie and Ice Cream Social', complete with cake walk.

Sunday is the first day in two weeks that I'll be able to stay home. Laundry, bread, and we're going to start some vegie seeds. And yoga. Liana and I have been taking a class and we have instructions to practice to get ready for 'inversions'. I'm scared.

Gina, have you ever played Wii ping pong? You would crack up if you could see us...we're pitiful. Pretty much like real-life ping pong, hehe.
