Sending Best Wishes....

I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and especially all the ones that have lost loved ones this past year. I know it is very hard as I lost my DH this past summer so this is the first Christmas without him. I guess we just carry on as best we can and I thank God that I had him as long as I did..33 years! Blessings everyone.

Merry Christmas Mary and a healthy and happy New Year. This is my 5th Christmas with out my DH of 37 years, yes we just have to carry on to be there for the people who are still here and love us.

Thank you Mary,I hope you had a Merry Christmas as well My husband died last Dec. from injuries from an ATV crash. [I mention that because I want people to know how very dangerous they are]. Today would have been our 49th wedding anniversary. So it is especially hard.
I put on a good front for my family, but I had no idea how hard it would be...but life goes on and I try to stay positive.

Maryl.yesterday we got a flood.It rained buckets all day and some of my roses are just sitting in water,and they are forecasting more rain on thursday.I don't need no more rain.Its turned cold today too.We didn't get the snow,unless it was just some flurries during the night.Nothing on the ground today.I don't know if you sent me a picture on that other post.I seen a little box with a red X in it,but I couldn't make it open up.Some times you can right click on the X and it will open,but not this time. chase: It wasn't that bad getting the "treats" here. Williams-Sonoma shipped them very quickly and very cheaply. They're the chocolate croissants that Oprah says is one of the "best things she can buy". Also, fyi, the orechhiette pasta with a sausage-fennel-pistachio cream sauce is my recipe: Orecchiette with a Sausage and Pistachio Cream Sauce Serves 4-6 Ingredients 1 pound pasta (farfalle, penne, orecchiette) 1/2 pound mild Italian sausage, skinned 2 Tbs butter 1 small onion, sliced thinly 1/2 small bulb fennel, sliced very thin 1-1/4 cup heavy cream 2 Tbs mascarpone cheese 1 Tbs grated parmesan 1/4 cup chopped pistachios salt and white pepper to taste Directions Put on pasta water to boil. Cook crumbled sausage in skillet until done but not overly browned. You can mop up the drippings now if you donÂt want this dish overly oily. Add butter, onion and fennel and cook until soft. Add heavy cream and cook on medium heat to reduce by 1/3. Add mascarpone, parmesan and pistachio and stir until mascarpone and parmesan become creamy with the sauce. Season. Add cooked pasta and toss well. Garnish with fennel leaf. Joe
