Hardwood floor 'cupping'. What to do??

To make a very long story short, our remodel was completed last December by the contractor brothers from hell. Among many other things, our new hardwood floors are starting to cup.

We live in north Texas and had an incredible amount of rain all spring and early summer. Our home is pier & beam. It took TWO rounds for the contractor brothers to get the stain and polyurethane(sp?) done correctly.

The first attempt was done by people they picked up who never had done this type of work before. We were not living in the house, so the damage was done before we could put a stop to it. The poly. was literally poured on the floors and took FOREVER to dry.

I'm explaining this since we are wondering if the wood floors are beyond repair or will they eventually "flatten out" again.

The contractors are long gone and have probably left the state....maybe even the country if we are lucky!

Can anyone out there tell us what is going on and what we need to do? Thank you so much.
