OOPS!!! Sorry I didn't know that about Jan. 1 being "everybody's" birthday, if a specific date isn't given. Oh well, Happy Birthday, whenever it is. :>) Mwoods, your statement about each year bringing "joy, laughter, and some tears" is so true. None of us ever knows what's ahead for us. Thank you for your kind thoughts. This truly is a momentous birthday for me -- I officially turned 65! So now I'm a card-carrying Medicare recipient!

My birthday present from my husband just arrived. of course, it was cooking related. It's a multi-station digital timer, inspired by a recommendation Ann T gave me a while ago. However, I received an early birthday present 2 months ago when my latest granddaughter was born. My daughter paid me the ultimate compliment by naming her after me.

I'm fixing grilled lamb chops for dinner along with roasted asparagus. Going out didn't appeal to me, so I planned on grilling some steaks. But when I saw the lamb chops at the store, I couldn't resist. I guess it's the Greek in me.
