Nancy: We are mostly all dunkers, in my family. I don't know what it is about the bread, it is addictive. Lucy: I had a Pizzelle Iron that was heated on the stovetop. My grandfather was a Blacksmith and made it by hand. He cut the date into it " 1926 " It was so heavy , you could use it for a Sledge Hammer but it made a lot of Pizzelles. I think that's where they got the name Pizzelle Iron. They made them by hand using iron. Was that a hint ? ( I think the postal guy ate mine ) LOU

Marigene, So happy you liked my surprise!!! I had been looking for a small chocolate maker for a while now and most are just so big and only have 1 pan. When I found this one, I just had to get one for you too! I love working with chocolate but it is difficult while at the stove and dripping chocolate on the burner, on the stovetop and down the front of the range. It will be so much easier to just have the melted chocolate handy in your work area. Linda, the potholders are made with Silence Cloth but unfortunately it is now discontinued. Silence Cloth is an excellent heat resistent fabric. It was carried by Hancock Fabrics and I bought all I could in my area. You can still buy Silence Cloth at Vogue Fabrics but it's about 25% more then it was at Hancock. If you have a Hancock Fabrics you can probably still find it as it is not a big seller. But the best kind of filling for potholders is felted wool. Just buy some scraps of heavy weight wool, if you can't find any heavy weight wool, just double some medium weight scraps. Wash the wool in hot water, no need for any detergent, and then dry it in a hot dryer which will felt the wool. I usually use wool but most of my wool is still in storage in the barn. Annie, Linda and Sherry, the potholders are made to be used and you should use them! I still have the first ones I made and that has to be at least 18 years ago. And the only damage is on one where I caught the edge on fire while at the outside grill! Michelle

i was googling for some recipes for this particular pan and found a chocolate cake with a ganache topping. that looks like what i am going to do with it. i'll post when i attempt it. it will also be a wonderful pan come summer months for fresh fruit topping. sally, it's a fluted plan and has a "dip" in the center where you can put a filing of cream and fruit or whatever you please. i think sometimes when i see them, it's more of a sping-like cake that's made in them, but i'm more than willing to try it out for any type cake. maryanne
