Thanks, ann_t, for that web index. I didn't have any trouble searching the FC DVD, unlike the OP, but the web index gives a quicker way to review the article titles to determine which one of the search results is most likely to be what I'm looking for.

I agree they could have done a better job indexing this, however. It seems to be a lost art these days - sad how many of today's cookbooks are so poorly indexed compared to "old style" ones of the '70's and earlier.

Hi! I am new to the forum and have a quick question.

Due to space restrictions, I am looking to get rid of my entire collection of FC and gettig the dvd instead. It has taken a lot of time and money to get every single issue and don't want to get rid of the collection unless I be absolutely sure that this dvd has the entire magazine reproduced including photos.

Does the dvd have the entire magazine reproduced, including photos?

Yes, photos, advertising, everything from page 1 of Issue I through all issues thereafter.

You won't get the special issues sold separately, like "Grilling" or whatever, but most of those are compilations of previous recipes anyway.

I have kept selected issues. There's the "physicality" of having the magazine in hand. But with the software you can print out any page exactly as it appeared in the original magazine.

I had every issue until 2007, but due to time, weight, space restrictions, we culled them in our move. I've been undecided about getting this CD, and now I think I'm more undecided than ever!
