Boy Oh Boy, Another Surprise Came my way, From Lou

Another package just arrived moments ago. This time it's from LOU (Hawk307)! This peel is just wonderful & will most definitely come in so handy.

I can not wait to put it to use. I have no doubt that it will make placing my french loaves onto the stone that much easier. Personalized too!! So thoughtful & generous, and real nice woodworking talent, smooth as a babies a*% !! Thank You.

My mother-in-law used to let our nephew go outside to the front step and piddle overboard into her flower garden. I thought it was a bit weird, considering the proper bathroom was closer when you were already in the house. I guess she was smarter than I thought. BTW I'm surprised you were able to keep from laughing. Maybe you could post a little sign, LOL.

Brseaton- thank you for the input. But it's been almost 2 months and no germination at all. I had 5 shoot a small root out of the Super Pink and 3 terminated from that point on. 2 are left, one has very tiny leaves at 1 1/2 inches, in comparison to seeds started from Kylie a week later that are as tall as 9" tall and none shorter than 6". Not that all of Kylie's germinated either but those that were mature surely did. The other seed, although it rooted about a month ago, is not even above ground, but the root is still there. Nothing from the LBG & Bergfeuer as of 1 3/4 months later. I have 2 of Brenda's seeds already germinating from a Pink Perfektion x Amber not even a week in. When a person is buying seeds commercially, they aren't gambling on whether seeds are viable, they expect them to be, give or take a couple. With cork that floats covering these seeds, its a little hard for us to tell, unless we remove the cork which should be able to be done on mature seeds. And I'm not saying less mature seeds won't grow, but 1/10 germination is not what we're buying. These were really small seeds for any brug seed I've ever seen, but definately shaped like a brug seed which is unique to brugs. I won't speculate on what I think is being done, but I will contact them, rather than leave the feedback I intended to. I don't like anybody who continually screws with other people as though nothing mattered if it didn't matter to them, or if they were only looking out for themselves. But as you have had viable seed come from them, I'll only give the one factor that might of made the difference, and that is they may have sent the seeds in too cold of weather, which I can't possibly know but they should. I'd like to believe their motives or intent aren't purely selfish. Again, thanks for the input, I don't like displacing my anger either. And you don't sound like a 'kiss ass' type of person looking to gain something, as you have no motive to do so, so I'll definately trust you :) - Sandy

Sorry Ashley and minnamouse but you are both not living within California so I won't be able to send you any eggs. I'd have to get a permit from the USDA... Yes, Jill, I agree! Hubby and I went over the center this afternoon to check out their facilities again. It was quite sad...all these spiderwebs (I killed a bunch of spiders) and one humongous wasp that was after a butterfly. There were a few Monarchs, several Mourning Cloaks, a few West Coast Ladies, and a few Dogface...Two signs listed A. eriocarpa and A. speciosa but the stuff was D-E-A-D. So sad... I did speak with a volunteer afterwards and left him my card. Hubby thought they needed to completely fumigate the place (it was THAT bad, believe me! My arms were actually red and spotted when I walked out of there...) but I don't know what they actually are planning on doing. No one was around. There was a small 'propagation' area and the plants there were covered in spiderwebs and many needed water. The idea is really a good one and I think more help is what is needed (staffing). I don't need another job right now but...

Thanks to all...so much! I didn't want to bring this up but it isn't only homework...it's really ANYTHING. Example: He took a bath on Monday...Tuesday night I told him it was time for a bath. My bad though...it was late and he fell asleep within minutes. No biggie. On Wednesday at 4:00 I told him again after homework was complete to take a bath...He asked "Now?" I said "Yes, now...so that you don't accidentally fall asleep later..." I was still working until 5:00. I left my office at 5:00 and went to fix dinner...had to do it quickly because SD14's gymnastic lessons are at 6:00. Dinner was complete by 5:30 and SS came into the kitchen. Still had the same clothes on. NO bath. I take SD to gymnastics, go by the grocery store with the other 4, pick SD up and come back home...and again say "Go take a bath right now." He says ok and leaves the room...comes out with his clean clothes and heads towards the bathroom. I go to comfort the hubby who discovered that the company he works for is closing next week. When I go in to check on the kids I notice SS9 is asleep and has the same clothes on. The clean clothes are on the floor. NO BATH. Same thing on Thursday. But this time I say "take a bath today or you WILL be grounded for a day." I have to work again until 5:00...come out and go to fix dinner. NO BATH and since it's Thursday, it's guitar lessons for 2 of my other sons at 7:00. AGAIN tell him to take a bath as soon as we get home from taking the boys to lessons. He gets his clothes and goes to the bathroom. Guess what? Yes...NO STINKING BATH. I even stood outside the door and told him I wasn't leaving until I heard the water running. He apparently just hung out in the bathroom long enough to make it look like he was going to take a bath and then left the room. Friday was "drive 3 hours to visit with Mom for the weekend" day so there was no time to take a bath then because we leave for the long drive as soon as the kids get home from school. This child listens to NOTHING at all and does NOTHING that he doesn't want to do. I'm sure not going to bathe the kid myself...but he will NOT listen to me at all. I have 4 other kids, a big house to clean and a full time business...it is getting VERY frustrating having one kid who refuses to do anything...from homework, to bathing. yes, of course, the other kids sometimes have to be told twice or maybe even three times...but honestly and truly this kid will do NOTHING. I'm obviously VERY frustrated right now.

I love the peel and with such a wonderful shape it is so useful for so many things.

Holy Moly Lucy: I didn't it would Peel off this many responses,
to a piece of wood. Guess it's because it had your name on it.
I don't know if you could tell from the Photo, it was made of Maple.

Lucy, you're on a roll! Actually the first thing I thought of when I scrolled down to see the picture was, "Why would lou send her a paddle?" Then I read it's a pizza peel. Duh! Sometimes I can be real dense.
